Violent Vigil mystery - pray bug?

So I've tried to solve this mystery using the right combination from pamphlet three times (yeah, starting the new game again and again), but every time, when I come to room with corpse for a second prayer (12 am), it dissappears, which leads to only one ending. Am I missing something, or is is a bug?

Probably a stupid question, but did you light the fireplace at 11pm?
Edit: Nevermind. I just lit the fireplace and he still disappears.

Yep, also if you need to have a supper, he also disappears.

The body is supposed to "disappear". Endings change based on the choices you make while investigating. The A ending is gotten through praying and copying the symbol on his foot, whatever the pamphlet tells you to do as the night progresses, not sacrificing the guests and drawing the forbidden symbol instead, and beating the boss down. Note that the boss is actually pretty hearty. I do believe the cutting the plant option is bugged (nothing happens when I chose it), and I haven't gotten ending B yet. I got one last thing to try for B. Also should mention that the A and C endings are fairly similar. C just has a negative impact on you character.

Just got ending B. You do everything up to ending A, but during the fight there is an option to sacrifice one of the guests to damage the boss. Do that then just beat it down. B isn't that much different than A or C.

But regardless, burning the envelope leaves the option there, but allows you onto A path, so cutting the plant might be the same.

I literraly couldn't cover the mirror since it happoned at "kill them" location, still was on A path.

Damn this game needs better saving.

I'm running into this same issue. I do exactly what the pamphlet tells me to do but when I go to the body to pray at 12am the body disappears and it puts me on track to the C Ending. Am I missing something?

The body always disappears, the second prayer is there just to make you return to the body and see that, then return to the main lobby and see what happened there too.

geez guys, there is wiki for this game!
body will always dissapear and you cant cover mirror so you cant do exacly what pamphlet want you to do.

I try not to look up guides because I don't want to spoil things if I don't have to. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a bug.

It's normal for the body to disappear at midnight.
When praying for the first time, you need to make a note of the mark on the uncle's toe.
When you have followed the pamphlet so far, You have the choice of either killng the guests as the vigil ends or you draw the sigil on the floor. Drawing the sigil spawns a boss encounter and it's possible to achieve ending A and B.
