I really like what i have seen of this game , and want to buy it but I dont know if my PC will run it so I would like to try a demo

Well Gunter I finally bit the bullet and am downloading it right now .
What patches mods and other things would you suggest i get ?
Mostly at this stage i just want to mod and patch it with what ever i takes to make the game less buggy and more stable
Later nice textures and models unless it affects my fps to much
Then any tank missions etc you can recommend would be great . i just love WW2 tanks so any armour missions you can recommend . and anything else you feel you should tell me about would be awesome too other campaigns' , missions that you enjoyed and think are especially worth looking into

Going to quote you on what you said and then answer accordingly.

Game dont need to be patched its latest version which includes the DLC.
At the bottom right corner of the menu you will see
Iron front version 1.05 <---- this is the game version.
Version 1.65.0000 <---- this is the engine version

Unless you have or buy Arma2oa, you can play Iron front in that, but it requires the base
game which you now have, and the game needs to be converted with a tool.
Then you would need to patch that as the game version for that is v1.06
you can read the changelog here on it, on what my team and Kju did back in 2013

Game really isn't buggy, it has some minute issues but nothing crazy obvious, the campaign may have some bugs but other then that it plays fine.

No need to patch as said above, and also the game is not moddable, you can use texture packs but those are limited, aside that you can use scripts in your missions or to add features. Game is not moddable because it was designed that way, however also as said above you can convert your game to a mod for Arma2oa if you own it here is the information on that:

You can however mod Iron front in Arma2oa aka IFA2, and there are mods specifically for that too.

All of Major Mayhems missions, not all are tank missions but there are many that are, and your not limited to just infantry unless the missions is set that way, his missions though are best suited for coop with 2-8 players, i've played most of them with Major Mayhem and his group since 2015.

i made a version of that in the editor where you can be a tank, its pretty cool

everything for the base game as in Iron front what you own now is all on the left column.
Everything for IFA2 is in the middle which you cant use in IF itself as its not moddable.

do you think my PC will run Arma2oa the with the ironfront patch .it looks worth playing too with the mods

I downloaded a demo of armaao 2 here http://www.arma2.com/demo/
but for some reason it was running like it wasnt recognizing my graphics card .
maybe that was just a glitch with the demo or for some reason my card wont run armorao2

maybe you dont know , I just thought i would ask you thanks

Hi, i would suggest you have the latest graphics card driver for your card, then try again.

have been trying to install the
Patches for the Arma2CO IFA2 Mod

I used the conversion tool , all seamed to b going well untill I realized I dont have Arma 2: Combined Operations , shown below as one of the requirements
I looked on steam . its here https://store.steampowered.com/sub/4639/
looked like i wouldn't need it so i continued on (maybe I do I am not sure )

Requirements
To convert your vanilla Iron Front to a mod for Arma2CO
Iron Front vanilla patched to v1.05
Arma 2: Combined Operations installed and in the latest version
Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead patched to 1.63
Arma 2 patched to 1.11

Anyway I got to this bit of the instructions

Patches for the Arma2CO IFA2 Mod
Download:
Patches for Arma2CO
IronFront_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.05-1.12.exe
IronFront_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.12-1.13.exe
Run the 1.05 - 1.12 full patch
Run the 1.12 - 1.13 full patch
If you have the DLC download and apply in order:
IronFront_DLC_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.00-1.07_Digitial.exe
IronFront_DLC_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.07-1.08.exe

I installed the first two
IronFront_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.05-1.12.exe
IronFront_Arma2CO_CommunityPatch_1.12-1.13.exe



then i see at the bottom

Start the game (Launch info)
Mod will require CBA like any mod in Arma2CO get it here (if you have CBA already then you dont need to get it again)
Start the arma2oa/Arma2CO game like you would normally with a mod: @CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@IF
If you have the DLC then add the DLC mod in the parameter too like this:
@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@IF;DDay
A Launcher can really help make the setup and startup alot easier, just setup your profile, choose the mods needed and start!

so I went searching on the web and found some stuff but nothing that helped me

so basically my problem is i dont have and cant seam to get Arma 2: Combined Operations. But do have ARMA 2 and ARMA2OA

Heres what you do to start to setup Arma2CO:
Go to Operation Arrowhead properties in your library, select launch options and type in"

"C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" "-mod=C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2;Expansion;ca" -nosplash -skipintro -world=empty

After doing that then test.

For the patches its in order like you see it.
