Bloodbath arena don't start. Any ideas?

Hello, does anyone have experience with malfunction of arena? Because I can't go there through fast travel, and when I go to the door in the tunnel, it is just loading, then flashes screen red and suddenly I am back in main menu...any ideas or hints?

Already validated all files, redownloaded with uninstall, nothing I can think of works on that problem

Sounds like an issue with the Arena cutscene... if you have subtitles on try turning them off until after you get in. If that doesn't work try changing the game's language setting, then try to enter.

Let me know if either suggestion works, hopefully we can find a fix.

Thanks for those two interesting ideas, but none of them worked :( I don't see arena as FAST TRAVEL location and still when I go through the door, it just loads, then it flashes red and loading into the menu...:( loosing my hope here of playing bloodbath arena :/

If you open DI and goto the Extras menu, then check Additional Content. It should have have 3 things listed Ripper Mod, Ryder White, and Bloodbath Arena... Does it list each of them as Locked or Unlocked?

Did some researching and found that if the DLC is not owned when trying to enter, the screen will go red and a pop-up states "you do not own this content", in some rare cases the pop-up does not appear and the game instance closes returning you to the menu.

If when you check your extras->additional content menu, it shows the DLCs to be locked, then you would need to upgrade to GOTY (50% off with original DI), but if it shows them as unlocked then you need to contact Steam Support to resolve the issue..

I have only arena unlocked...but as you describe it, it definitely seems like game is not having the content or something. and NO, I won't pay more money for content I don't want to play content I already paid for...this is really low. Nothing personal :) I love the game, but this just makes me maad...

right click on the game in steam ui, then properties, then dlc. does it list all 3 dlc? if it doesn't you should contact steam support.

it doesn't, because I don't have GOTY...bought the DLC about 2 weeks before GOTY edition...so I have only one DLC

you don't have the dlc so you can't access the arena. everything seems to be in order here.

ehum...I have DLC...I have ONE DLC....not all of them...so I am supposed to be able to play arena...not ryder, not ripper mod, just arena...that's my point. Not even the official support guys didn't mention anything, so NO, everything is NOT in order...just got three ideas from support, so I'll se what comes out. Their best shot is, that I don't have sufficient CPU...which is strange, cause the base game runs smooth :D

oh and btw...in january I got new rig...way over minimal requirements....still didnt get the job done :) but I already gave up and gave up on riptide as well...didn't buy the game and I am not going to...

I found out how to get the Bloodbath arena to work. It might work for you too. If you have it UNLOCKED in your Extras, but still can't access it, here's what you do.
Turn off the game, go to game folder, then DI folder, then Data folder. You'll know you're in the correct one, if there are files called act1 and others. Then scroll down and find DLC1_available, DLC1_present,DLC2_available,DLC2_present, etc to 9. Those are small .txt files. Delete ALL the _present files, and leave all the _available. So after you're done you should have 9 DLC*_available txt files.
Then start the game, and Bloodbath Arena should be available for you.

sorry for the bumping, i'm having this problem too and this trick confirmed working at least for me.
so if anyone try to get to arena for the first time, and kicked back to main menu, use this trick.
