No, Dead Island will not run on MacOS, you can play on a Mac by using Bootcamp to launch WindowsOS.

That question cannot be answered without posting your specs... CPU, GPU, and RAM.

Everything looks good, but you might have some issues with the 6600/6700 GPU. That card only scored a 4/10 which means medium graphics. Other than that you should be ok.

thank you anyway

I dont know about that 2.2ghz is really low for games, for most games that s well below minimum spec. Apparently a Core2Duo 2.66ghz is minimum for this game you may have more cores with that i7 and a newer chipset but your Ghz are real low. That said i7 CPU's have turbo boost so you may want to look at what your CPU model boosts the Ghz to coz if it's over 2.6 you should be alright.

What I do know is that this game runs flawlesly on my Mac Pro via both bootcamp and also Parallels 7 (Both with a windows 7 install)

8 Core 2.8ghz Xeon
Geforce 8800GT

Nice, welcome to the "8800 is still a damn good card and I don't want to upgrade" club.

8800GTS here.

What is 8800 gt, is it a sort of graphics card? Anyway, I tried dead island, it function well. But my computer still having some problems that when I played the game in the middle, somehow the computer turned off the screen automatically, and when I turned the screen back, the game went to crash.

You might need to lower your settings.

The 8800 is a six year old graphics card, that was the first DirectX 10 card on the market. It still out performs most new off-series cards.

CPU power is nothing to do with Clocks - There is alot of other factors like Cache, Threads, Cores, CPU Die size (Eg 22nm vs bigger) to name a few.

Lol, I know this is late... but I thought I'd add that my DAD has an 8800GT. xD It's a fairly decent card, to be fair... he was on Lost Planet recently, and Dirt 2, and various other games. Old as hell, now, but back then it really was a beast.
I have a 1.30 ghz processor, and I play this game on High.
