DeadIsland Black Screen Fix for Windows 8 / 8.1 and 10 (Old Version) Not remastered.

for this fix.

I decided to add this to the forums since i notied that PVRIS link is broken and wanted to help the community that couldn't get the file, so you can download it from My Dropbox.

Copy and past the d3d9.dll into your DeadIsland Folder
xxxx\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Island

Also just to make sure there are no issues, delete your settings
C:\Users\xxxxxx\Documents\DeadIsland\out

and your good to go. :)

did you follow the steps above, did you delete your settings folder (hole folder after placeing the direct x file. Note: dont start the game you need to do those steps first and in the order above. if you did , are your video drivers upto date, if they are, check to see if your video settings are set to the graphics card and not the cpu graphic, also where did you put the DX file and if that doesn't work install the
microsoft Direct X : http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=35
and if that doesn't work uninstall the game and do a refresh install (DONT START THE GAME) do the steps again above

Windows 8.1 x64, latest Nvidia drivers, game runs perfectly fine.
