Weapons randomly disappear from inventory

I have lost 6 in the last hour! If you mod them they disappaear, some times just in mid game, you pick up a weapon and the other is gone.

No not sold or full inventory or dropped just gone.

Game is seriously bugged and no longer supported :(

If you keep pressed your "loot button" while looting a weapon, you will switch them instead loot them and will drop your actual weapon.

So just press it, don't keep it pushed!

Hi this is not from looting, usaually happens after modifying weapon. Just found out it is known bug that was never fixed and cannot be worked around.

well i have an idea for you here's the steps

Step 1:Get The Weapon
Step 2:Close The Game
Step 3:Goto The Documents/DeadIsland/out
Step 4:Save The Files In There
Step 5:Get Back To The Game And Try Again
Step 6:If Its Gone Take The Files You Saved Back To Documents/DeadIsland/out
Step 7:Done

Thxs for input! but exiting to manually save a file every 20 minutes not really practical.

Just lost 3 level 30 purples I have upgraded and modded after creating some shotgun ammo, I had already exited and gone to inventory and the game had auto saved and wiped previous save.

Ahh well back to paddles and broomsticks!
