Why does the sound make a scratching noise

I just bought the game and it makes a scratching sound whenever I play it, it drives me insane and I see no fix for it so far.

Same, and I can tell it's not my headphones because the scratching and popping noises happen at the same spots.

Hello peeps :)

This is a problem with the dolby speakers 7.1 in your pc. Just simply change it to 5.1

Mine was the razer surround sound pro 7.1 causing the scratching noise and I change it to the the normal speaker and changed it back again and it was fixed.

If its only a regular speaker, do this

Right click the speaker icon
Select your audio output
Configure
Select 5.1


Optional
Select back to dolby 7.1

I used the Notepad text editor to create an empty text file and I backed up the audio.scr application. Now there is a lot less popping (it's still there though, but less scratchy). I got it from JemyM on here so all credit to them!
