Any way to enhance endurance/stamina?

Hi everybody,

Dead Island is a pretty funny and cool game, however I do not really like the stamina system. Of course to increase the tactical playing level it is needed, otherwise you'd rush through the hordes with a good weapon too easy, but for my taste it is a bit too fast decreasing by actions. Especially if several enemies are attacking and you have to wait for the stamina to be replenished, this is hindering fights heavily.

Is there any way to increase it since it is not recognized by the skills which can be fueled up by EP? Btw, I am walking around with a big tough guy and he is caughing like an old granny after swinging a weapon for 4-5 times -_-

Xian Mei's Effortless (Combat) has the following properties:

This skill gives you a decreased stamina cost when using sharp weapons.

Rank 1 = -10% stamina
Rank 2 = -20% stamina
Rank 3 = -30% stamina

I assume your character has something similar.

And all characters have access to Conditioning (Survival):

This upgrade increases your stamina.

Rank 1 = +10% stamina
Rank 2 = +20% stamina
Rank 3 = +30% stamina

if you mean how you get stamina whitout skils then you only way hawe get unlimited stamina is using mod or cheats. using good tactics also help: get a few good swings in and then dodge back, avoid, and wait for it to recover. repeat. if you see alot zomies use molotov, grenades or fury skils

Purna: guardian angel: stamina gain +100%, stamina cost - 45%.

I suggest giving cheats a wide berth in general, and when it comes to VAC-enabled games in particular.

Actually I wanted to relinquish on using cheats and I am not even sure if there are any (I did not search so far).

@jani: Yepp, that's exactly my tactic, just if there are a few of these infected speeders then it can turn havoc pretty soon. Whilst I think the stamina idea is good for tactical aspects of the game, it too often interrupts a good fight by the need to seek for relaxation.

I tried Purna once but she appeared very weak to me whilst Sam B seems to be the strongest of the group. I advanced until the city with Purna but she died too often on me.

Well, guess I have to come along with that xD

if you wand using cheats, then there is save editor that what you can use make moded weapons, then you not use stamina so much using swings. i mean you can make sledge hammer in home run efect or mayby guns whit that efect like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5jZac8-XAA
i hawe tryed that save editor and i hawe guns in homerun efect but its ruin game fun becose its com boring to kill all in one shot or one swings but purna is easy char any ways for me.

i m not sure is tehere any threat but in case you need hawe good protection i hawe bitdefender and its removed som trheads, but not know was they a real trheat.

you need: 5 diamond, 10.000$ money, Battery, Impact Mod, Developer's No. 2 Craft mod and Baseball Bat. You foud those parts in game

Impact Mod: side mission quest: Last Chance on the Wall quest reward. Found in Howard Craigson npc in Saint Christopher's Church.

if not hawe those parts and mods or not wand get weapon self or wand get it immediately then you need use save editor.

Thank you for the information. Amazing how to make the Homerun Baseball Bat, I think I gonny try to make this thing in my next round of the game.
The extremely modded weapons which make the enmies fly away is killing game fun for sure, therefore I do not like cheating ;-), it simply makes you too strong so you are like a walking tank which is bashing away any monster. But for those annoying ramming idiots (which I mostly have some problems with) it would be cool, again ^^...

Anyway, your Bitdefender removed threats from that editor? Really? OK, maybe just a false positive due to gen-database of your AV, but if not I would definitely not try that editor out, you never know how sophisticated such a piece of malware may be... Guess I have to rely on my own skills :D

BTW: What is the song in the second video :D? Cute Japanese singing...

Sam B i would'nt call the strongest of the group, but certainly the toughest as he can take alot of damage coupled with his HP regen skill, but also has very bad stamina issues, which is why i gave up on using 2 handed blunt weapons for him and reverted to 1 handed blunt weapons, and even then you have to be very good at managing stamina with him, his K'O ability is also very nice and can knock out most of the monster you'll encounter, making for very easy kills.

Xian is by FAR the best at dishing out damage with bladed melee weapons, and has massive stamina regen ( with the right skills ), you'll be slicing and dicing zombies left right and centre with her without pause, but her weakness is that she cannot take more than a few hits before she's dead, i always carry 30 medium medkits with her and speced into medkit bonus, which allows them to heal for more. ( which also inculdes apples, snack bars and energy drinks! ), i would'nt bother with Fury on her, just a single point in the tree to have access to it, reason being once you hit a certian level she'll be 1 shotting everything anyway.

Purna is also a beast when it comes to dishing out damage with GUNS, once you have all the ammo blue prints and access to guns ( you'll start getting them in the 2nd act ) coupled with her Fury attacks she becomes a real MONSTER, and the added bonus that guns don't use stamina, you'll never have stamina issues with her, once you get access to gun mods, she becomes even more Deadly, couple a shotgun and the pride shotgun mod, you'll be blowing away everything and everyone that dares to get in your sights.
She also has 2 nice skills in her survival tree that allow more bullets to be made at the workbench, and more bullets when looting, ( funny enough these two stack with each other, in which when you craft bullets, the game takes it as youve looted bullets, so you'll end getting even more. )

Logan i won't comment on too much as i've never eally played him that often, but he's a jack of all trades, master of none, ive heard his Drunken Fighting is a good skill ( but only if you can put up with being drunk in-game and falling over every 2 seconds ), also his Boomarang ability, coupled with sticky bomb knives, is very devastating, as is his Fury.

If you think of the Characters as RPG Characters, they'd be something like this:

Sam B is the Warrior, can take loadsa damage, but bad stamina issues.
Xian is the Rogue, can dish out loadsa damage, but 3-4 hits and shes a goner.
Purna is the Mage, good support, good range, guns dont use stammina.
Logan is a bit of everything.
