Shelving limits
So, I understand that shelves have designated slots, with designated capacities for materials and modules. But why can a large shelf only hold 3 calculators?

My first gen version the shelf held at least triple that. The second gen is made with the same case, so there is no size difference. So why has the shelf capacity been cut to a third?

I only ever see this issue with finished products. Is there a guide somewhere explaining how these magic shelves work for finished products? It can't be weight...a medium shelf holds enough modules to create 30 or so calculators. The materials don't weigh more just because they're assembled. I suppose packaging could add more weight and bulk but to be cut in a third?

What am I missing with shelves......?

So it gets worse. I placed a second large shelf beside the other....and it has triple or so the capacity.

Tier 0 limit is 15units per shipment so wasting resources, btw small shelve can hold 6 products u can add 3 more in logistic menu

But here's the broken part.

Notice in the screen shot those are both large shelves. One showing a capacity of 3, the other a capacity of 15. When I only had the one,(bottom left side one) my max was 3 in storage. When I added the other, now I have a max of 18. This makes no sense.

You have to increase the bandwith from logistic mode. Click the shelf and assign or remove slots.

Prolly you have slots reserved for another item in your shelf; if you lower that bandwidth and increase the bandwidth of the product you actually want in there it shouldn't be a problem.

Duurti ... Another easy way I found to increase bandwith is in the the mode you are in on your screenshots, just drag one on the items (a calculator) to an open spot within the shelf, and that will create more room for calculators (in your case). The one shelf on the top has loads of room for you to use.

I had similar thoughts. It seems like assembled outputs (at least some) are units of 1 per space they occupy (like you stated about the calculator). That seems to match with the 1:1 slot matching in the OUTGOING pallet. I wonder if this was not directly intentional to have such a thing/change. Yes, it would be nice for shelves to stack multiple finished products in a slot...and for simplicity the outgoing pallet should probably reflect that, too.

You are correct, BrewMaster Jack. End products (those we design and build) tale up one shelf space all by themselves. The "modules" (I guess they are called) stack in various quantities from some as low as 25 per stack to upwards of 250 per stack. It just depends on the item (module).
Either way, I find the drag-and-pull method (as I described above) easier to create more bandwith than through the logistic system. That's the thing about this game - I learn more by just trying things out. Still trying to find another way to decrease bandwith. With that, the logistic system seems the easiest thus far.

Rant off.

Finally figured this ♥♥♥♥ out.
