Is "Killsquad" a dead game or not?

It is in early acces and therefore you wont find that many player right now. But it's not dead. Rather being born. I played the last two days and did not have trouble finding teammates.

Agreed starting to catch on - I really like it found it from an instagram ad! Better than Torchlight series

If you want to give it a go, now is a good time. Two reasons: we are currently on sale due to the Steam Winter Sale (until Jan 5th the game is 30% off). And, due to Christmas and people playing more games, we are seeing record traffic (for an Early Access game, that is), so you should have zero trouble finding people to play with (if you don't have friends to tag along, that is).

Cant you play it solo with bots or something ?

You can play solo, but there are no bots.

It's a work in progress, core game play is really satisfying. The rest ... it's been slow but has been getting better with each update, at the rate i've been watching it i'd say within the next year it will be a pretty solid game and will still have to potential to grow.
