It's all a matter of opinion, if you don't like the thought of cheating then don't do it. To each their own, you play your game and I'll play mine. Everybody can play the way they like. Just because it's not your way doesn't mean people are having fun wrong.
But, for the sake of argument, save editing doesn't necessarily mean making things easier.
- There's details on how to delete loans in my opening post, you could just as easily make the interest higher to make them harder to pay back.
- Post says how to make things produce faster, you could just as easily make things harder to produce by making them take longer, this would make contracts harder
- Post shows how to reduce employee salary, you could just as easily increase it. Same with rent.
- You can use the details on tutorial skipping to make the tutorial harder. Like changing the game requirement to 10 games released instead of 2.
- You can use the stuff to 'fastfarward' gameplay in the event a bug causes lost progress
Some people like to use cheating to get the hang of a game and learn how to play it efficiently before playing a legitimate game. Some people like to have both legitimate saves and cheat saves so they can play whichever they are in the mood for at the time, an actual game or a relaxing 'just for fun' game. Most of my steam games have both cheat and legitimate saves because sometimes I want to be challenged and other times I just want to relax.
I haven't tried it but I don't think it would effect anything other then the monthly payments. Otherwise the trick to delete the loans would also delete the money you got.
Far as I know so far, the only thing you can do is use the loan editing to give yourself free money.
