どのタイミングでのアップデートかは未確認ですが、久々に起動したら、OPTIONから１２か国語の中から言語を２種類設定出来るようになっていました。ゲームパッドの操作にも対応しています。

イベントやCODEX(ゲーム内用語辞書)の文章は第一言語で表示されますが、上部にある翻訳ボタン「及」をクリックすることで第２言語に設定した言語での文章を併読できます。
第一言語が右側、第２言語が左側に表示されます。片方を英語にすれば原文と比較しながら、機械翻訳で意味不明な箇所をかみ砕いて読めるのはかなり良い。

ただ、フォントのせいでもあるのだけど、第一言語を日本語にするとUI部分とか没入感かなり削がれちゃう（一部戦闘システムの解説などで日本語表示がされない箇所も有）
私は第１言語を英語、第２を日本語に設定してこれからやりこもうと思っています。

ゲームについては、ポストアポカリプス+ファンタジーの重厚な世界観を備えた、好きな人には刺さるタイプのターン制RPG+リソース管理+大量のテキスト

以下の様なゲームを好む人には多分合います。
・Divinity, Balder's Gate, Pillars of Eternity, Pathfinderの様な見下ろし型C-RPGが好きな人。
・Point&Click系の推理ADVや考察多めのVisual Novelが好きな人。
・旅団のリーダーとして延々と遊べるという意味ではBattle Brothers, Wartales, Wildermyth, Mount & Blades, Sands of Salzaarなどを遊ぶ人の中にも合う人はいると思います。

開発陣の見せたいもの、というのをひしひしと感じる一作。
旧き神々が起こしたカラミティと呼ばれる災害によって、クリーチャーが跋扈するようになったゼリン大陸。
かつて栄華を極めた帝国の残滓を掘り起こし、生活の糧に変える貧しい人々。
仲間と部下、それに奴隷を引き連れて行軍する交易の旅はまさに命懸け。
そんな濃密な世界を楽しむ為には、英語の小説を数冊読む位の文章を読む必要がある事だけが難点。
チュートリアルシナリオである「荒野の巡礼者」とそれに関連するCodex（ゲーム内辞書）だけですが、翻訳動画を上げています。

人件費及び食費に常に悩みながら、キャラバンを率いて世界を回ってお使いクエストを進める系のゲーム。
最初は自力で交易でもなんとかなるけど、時間がたつと拠点間の貿易品の差額がだんだん均されてしまい
もうからなくなるので、有力団体の下請けをするしかなくなりますね。
ほんと仲間のレベルアップで俸給が暴騰して常時財政破綻寸前になるの勘弁して。
クエスト進めるためのきつい戦闘にほぼ必要だから全員雇わないとならないし、
ランダムイベントの選択でガンガン下がる忠誠度の維持のためにするプレゼントもめんどくさいし高い。
どこか有力団体の友好度を最大にすればバカ高い道路の使用量が無料になるのでまずそこからですね。

イベントの個人戦闘が基本体力回復なしで強制連戦、しかも敵が回避しまくるので
最良の結果を求めて直近のセーブ地点から延々ロードを繰り返すタイプです。
1回1回のチャレンジも結構重いし、イライラします。心が折れないように気を付けましょう。

翻訳は修正されていくのを期待。やきうのお兄ちゃんやしょぼーんが出てこられても困る。
ドラモンさんがドラえもんになってるようなレベルの翻訳です。
日本語が表示されない個所もあり意図がくみ取れないことが多いし、選択肢の翻訳間違ってるところもある。
読めるなら、今のところ第一言語は英語推奨ですね。
あと、タグがおかしいせいでコーデックス（辞書）に登録できない項目があります。
そのせいで日本語環境でゲームを進めると知識を集めるタスクが進行不可能です。
1回しかゲーム内で登録する機会がない項目をスルーしてしまうため歯抜け状態ですね。

雇用費は安く維持費は高いので、交易事案多めのところでは人を雇い、
不毛地帯を冒険するときは、不要な人員を解雇して調整する必要あり。
金があろうが大軍を雇うと食料消費量が街で買える食料量を上回って餓死します。狩りは当てにならないし。
終盤に自己拠点を作れるが食料生産が消費に追いつかないので延々食料を運びこみ続ける必要あり。
このせいで長期の冒険に行く暇がなくなるのはどうかと思うんだ。
基本豊かな土地で働いて金を稼いで、それを吐き出しながら辺境を冒険しましょうという感じ。
様々なクエストがあって達成条件も様々なのでやっていて楽しいは楽しいです。

自己拠点が重荷になるのと、勝てないからロード繰り返す・時間がかかる
途中セーブできないイベント戦闘さえなければ、もっと楽しかった。

世界観はおなじみの崩壊中のローマ帝国に似た世界観に加えて、
昔のゲームブックのファイティングファンタジーシリーズのアランシアを足して
イメージされているのでしょうか。
イアン・リビングストン氏がモチーフであろう「生きた石」が出てきたときは大笑いしました。

It's equal parts amazing, and needlessly frustrating. All in all there should be more games like this, not less, so it's a thumbs up...but it's definitely for a certain type of player...and being that type of player...it still has serious nags.

The good:

- it has a very strong "be what you want to be, do what you want to do" aesthetic...this comes with serious "however's" but it's still there.

- it has very complex mechanics, and much of the difficulty comes from learning these mechanics. This is a plus for me, a negative for others

- it's unforgiving, thus teaching care and causing you to make decisions that can be rewarding because you planned ahead

-the setting is ugly, harsh and the art reflects a dark, unforgiving world. Reminds me of the old Dark Sun setting in DnD.

-variety of factions and interconnecting needs creates an environment where you feel both that you are part of a greater world, and a only a small spec in that world. Another thing that would be a negative for others.

The bad:

- progression is tied to exploration and "quests": for an open world game where you decide what to do...you are very little rewarded for it progression wise. Insight points ..a key to improving yourself can only be had by not doing the thing that game seems to want you to do the most: trade and develop faction rep. Fights don't help your companions get stronger or you. Successful trading only gets better by not trading and doing quests instead. This is going to be a severe deal breaker for most people I think.

- some of the difficulty of the game has nothing to do with your skill or the tutorial...literally just running into situations where your decisions have no seeming consequence...and then all of a sudden you are trapped and dead because you didn't know what would happen. In a "salt mine" investigation, I found a place to investigate. Though I'm in an area where I might get in trouble, I'm not given the option to leave...after having to go through it for a while, I'm inevitably caught and attacked, winning the first encounter, but sufficiently injured to lose the next. No way out, no option, just 30 minutes of dialogue and fighting to death. Supposedly I can try to gain rep with this faction and attempt a closed option, but it's not like there was ever a hint that I should even try that. There are other encounters like this.. it's not a matter of fairness, its literally just "memorize this stuff for your next playthrough" ...sorry, not good gameplay in my opinion.

The ugly

-the game highly encourages save scumming...which I don't mind, I'm an old gamer and "save summing" is a new term from people that didn't have to shove floppies into drives to save. I don't mind this, but for people that demand they have a game that they never have to save for...but at the same time insist it be lethal...well I guess your going to have fight temptation.

- the UI is painful...it's not a bad, so I put it in ugly...but its not easy to work with, you miss a lot because the tooltip doesn't tell you enough and it's apparent that there are many things that should have been turned into right click drop downs...but I like it's looks...so it's a mixed bag.

- the freedom is a little fake. In the end, you have to do these quests. There's not really much choice in the matter if you want to progress. The quests are full of choices where there really was only one good answer. It fakes it good enough for you to enjoy yourself.

All on all I like the game a lot. I wish it were a bit different, but I m willing to go along to an extent. I think tying the progression up, just like tying the Era up like they just removed were ideas meant to stop the player from "gaming" the game...but I think it just hurts the game in the long run. There's plenty of difficulty anyway. The setting and lore a big selling point.

Okay, 120 hours in, I think I can speak with some authority about this game.

Short version, if you like trader sims and dark fantasy, do not miss this one. Be braced, however, for a brutally difficult game with some rough edges.

Longer version, I absolutely do love this game. It was well-written, compelling, immersive, so many good things. There is so much content that for dozens of hours it felt very much like a living world. It was only after the 100 hour mark that I started to run out of quests to do and so it started to feel a bit rote -- but nobody can provide infinite content, so I think that's fair.

Apparently the game is based on a TTRPG campaign the creators play(ed?). You can see those roots, but for me that was a pleasant thing. It gave it just enough of a sense of familiarity, and spotting the little threads was like hunting for easter eggs. There were even parts that felt like direct winks to fellow D&D players, though I won't spoil them by being specific.

On a neutral note, they say the game is hard as hell and they're not lying. They say save often -- again, they're not lying. I usually play games on Iron Man, but they don't even have that as an option and honestly I can see why. I'm not sure it's possible. Combining difficulty with a 'figure it out' approach to learning the game, you will get wrecked. It's just a part of it. Don't be afraid to save, experiment a bit, and reload if you need to.

Only real negative I have to say is that you can tell where the playtesting kind of peters out on the lategame content. At its best the game's difficulty feels like 'oh, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, I won't make that mistake again'. For some of the late game content it instead trends into 'there is no smart way to do this, try over and over until the RNG favors you'. Combining that with the inability to save mid-event can make for some frustrating repetition.

All in all, I had a wonderful time with Vagrus. I hope they come out with more content for it, and I'll be there when they do.

When I was a young lad I played a game called Dark Sun - Shattered Lands. I'd never experienced anything like it. Exploring this harsh desert setting brought intense feelings of hopelessness and despair, yet I could not help but try and fight for my freedom and bring back a small measure of justice to Athas. This game left such an impact on me I kept thinking about it years later. Truly and interesting game and world.

Fast forward about 25 years and here I am....checking out Vagrus - The Riven Realms. I hoped to recapture the enjoyment and wonder of Shattered Lands. After playing a little bit of the demo...I thought this might just be the game I've been waiting for, and I was right.

Vagrus kind of plays like Sunless Sea or a trading sim. It's heavy in lore and world building, reading and planning. I find the early game to be very difficult and perhaps a little too tedious as your caravan slowly gains in notoriety and expendable income. This means a lot of small trading routes and slim profit margins. I like the idea of starting out as a nobody Vagrus, and becoming someone of import, but it was just slightly too slow in my opinion.

As my caravan slowly gained in strength and fame, new opportunities arose, and the world starts to open up. Your caravan is able to take larger trade routes, and you meet many more interesting and high ranking people. It feels like real organic progression in storytelling as well as gameplay. There is a lot of freedom in how you wish to build your caravan/companions/vagrus. Which factions will you work for and ally yourself with? Are you a cruel slave master or an altruistic trader and explorer? I like when the player gets this much freedom on how they wish to play.

There are some performance issues, as has been pointed out by the developers...and a lot of unfinished stories..but what is here now is worth playing. I would recommend this game to those that love to read and enjoy immersing themselves in a completely foreign and desperate fantasy world.

THE GOOD - Top-notch world building and hand drawn artwork. Fun companion combat and caravan management. Freedom of choice. Progression.

NEEDS WORK - Slowdown during crew combat. Towns and wasteland need MORE random events. Especially exploring towns...Things should maybe change over time in this regard. Early game a (little) too grindy. Maybe add a little quality voice acting for the major players within the Riven Realms. (Bad voice acting would probably detract from the immersion though.) Scouting seems like it needs some reworking...as I don't really know why you'd do it. Maybe I'm just overlooking something.

Final Verdict - 9/10
I would pay full price for a game this unique and interesting. I would also pay full price for additional content down the road. Thank you developers for giving this middle aged gamer a taste of the harsh desert again! I hope the Riven Realms keep expanding and give my vagrus something to work toward.

I didn't even realize that I've played the game for 72 hours already. Some of it is the tutorial but even with that in mind, I think that I'm still nowhere near the end and there is still plenty of stuff for me to do and to discover.

Anyway, back to the topic. I don't think that this game is for everyone but if you find what I say next interesting, then definitely go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

You will spend a lot of your time on the map which depicts the world around you. The map is huge and it is fair to mention that not all parts of the map is available to you. I'm not bothered by this but some people complained that they feel deceived that they can't explore the whole map. The map is divided into nodes and the caravan travels between the nodes along the route which you pick. At every node there is a chance that some random event happens or there is a fixed event. Your caravan gets certain amount of travel points each day and each line connecting two nodes has travel cost. How far you can go depends on the makeup of your caravan and is also influenced by abilities. More on that later.

You are the leader of a caravan and you have to take care of it. You need to pay your workers, scouts and soldiers. You need to make sure that they and the beasts of burden have enough to eat. You can replace workers by slaves who do not get any pay but then you still need to make sure that they are fed and treated well. The main purpose of the caravan is to make money by trading commodities. You know it, buy cheap in one place, sell high in another. Discovering profitable trading routes takes time because trading in a small area isn't that profitable. Usually you need to cross a long distance to get from a region, where say metal is common, to a region where it isn't. And then with a fully loaded caravan, you burn money on food which eats your cargo space too by the way, until you get to the destination.

As you discover towns, villages, ruins, cities, special encounters, your journal will fill up with quests. You will find powerful guilds and houses (let's call them factions) which will give you a basic trading quests if you choose to accept of course. Take this cargo from X to Y and we will pay you. Usually, there are multiple of them going from X to Y or from X with slight detour to Z and then to Y. As you complete these quests for factions, you get reputation points. They influence your standing within the faction and if a milestone is reached you get rewards and have access to their special shops or to more complex quests and tasks. However, the factions themselves stand against each other. If you help one, you are likely to damage your reputation with another. Caution is advised because there are negative tiers of reputations too! Having hostile faction attack you on sight is not great for a trader like you.

So, to plan the most efficient routes you need to discover the best prices for regular goods and also factor in these faction quests which will again take away your precious cargo space. Cargo space can be expanded of course. Buying more beasts of burden -> they need more food -> more workforce to control -> more soldiers to keep safe, you see the pattern. You need to always plan and check if everything is in order and if you get to your next destination without running out of food.

There is nothing worse than having nothing to ear/drink in the middle of nowhere. It is usually a game over. Going to wilderness to explore means changing the composition of your caravan. The scouts, for example, can bring in food once a day if you send them out to hunt for it. It makes sense to hire enough of them to cover your food needs for a day. However, the scouts can return empty handed so having enough food in reserve is really essential.

Your avatar gets experience and has ability scores and perks which you can improve or unlock giving you the options to focus and customize which we all like. The caravan can also be equipped with items giving you additional advantages. (speaking of items, I still haven't found the @#$%@!! compass :D)

As you travel the world, you can meet special characters called companions. You can hire them to help you out with your caravan. These mercenaries have their own agenda and they will react to your choices. If you get over the line, they can depart you. They also have their own abilities and perks. On top of that they can be assigned to special positions within your caravan. Like a Master Scout or Cargo Master or Attack Leader. These then provide special and very useful bonuses for your caravan. However, the companion has to have that special inclination for that position. Most of the companions have only two of them. And of course your companions get experience too. The level-up system here depends also on the relationship which you have with them and if you decide to help them out with their problems or not. Yeah, sure you do want to help them out right? If only to level them up :)

Combat. Your companions will fight for you. And use their special attacks and perks. You can also assign items to your companions to make them stronger. The combat is turn-based. Every combatant getting one action each turn, order of action depending on their initiative. Up to six companions on your side against up to six enemies (other characters, beasts, undead, etc.). These fights are integral part of the quests and move the storyline forward. Not mentioning the rewards and experience.

Your caravan can get attacked too. This will trigger another combat screen where you need to manage the melee for the whole caravan. This is when your soldiers and your companions come into the play. Again something you will need to figure out in order not to lose everything you have. Sometimes the only option is to bribe the opposition or to flee as fast as you can. However, your caravan needs to become strong enough eventually to make progress in the storyline.

I was thinking hard if the next statement is fair or not. I think it is, so here it goes: The game is basically a "Find your own adventure" book. You are presented with a page of text whenever anything interesting happens. Then you have choices to make and that will lead to another page and so on and so forth. And I enjoy that.

Of course, on top of that there are the other mechanics mentioned above so it is really not just a book but still, be prepared to read a lot. There is also a great "wiki" inside of the game which expands on topics mentioned in your travels. The wiki is full of information, on cities, people, enemies, goods and so on and on. I have to admit that I only read like 1/3 of the topics so far and they provide great insight to the world and the writing is good.

This game is hard at the beginning. You will barely manage to stay alive. But if you do then you will be rewarded. :)

The last comment, the developers are very active. They constantly squash bugs and there is additional content in the works. I would like to see the game expanded. To have more stuff to do in the cities as the game progresses.

When I was younger I enjoyed reading choice books like CYOA,Which Way, Zork, Endless Quest. Some of the setbacks from this kind of entertainment was the cheesy adventures and lack of depth in the writing. I wish the creators of this game were around back then. You wont find any cheesy adventures here and the writing keeps you hungering for more. To me this is an in-depth visual choice novel filled with lore and with a completely open world to explore. One of the unique aspects of the game is that its economy based. You lead a caravan and everything depends on your ability to manage your crew. So if you want to explore for instance that mystical city hidden under the sand you better have enough food and money to keep your people happy. The world is vast and beautiful with at least 100hrs worth of exploration. If you don't like to read this wont be for you and like with most economy-based games you will need patience. To make it even more difficult, your encounters are all diced based. Combat, important choices, and the happiness of your followers depends on the dice gods. Boo has died countless times due to bad rolls but he keeps coming back for more….thankfully, you get to save at many intervals. Just like you did in your CYOA you will find yourselves going back to that page before you got that bad ending. In terms of your choices they do have an effect on the world. I found myself permanently evicted from the dragon lands do to illegal mining. Not to mention I was constantly being attacked by ghosts due to tomb robbing. In contrast, in the end of the game I was amazed by the epilogue. All the quests and people I helped during my campaign gave me a well rewarding ending.....

Bought this game as a little merchant caravan simulator game since there are so precious few of those, which is exactly what I got except I was so engaged with the atmosphere, lore and trading loop that I could not put the game down or stop thinking about it for nigh on two weeks.

In the beginning of Vagrus you're always one bad deal away from utter bankruptcy. One bad sandwyrm attack away from being stranded in the desert. Even later you can go from feeling like an unbeatable genius to starving to death in the plains of bone because you decided to buy another stack of jade for trade instead of extra provisions when you started your trek 3 months ago on the other side of the map.

Bad games that hold your hand all the way through the experience afraid that one bad run will make you stop playing bore me to death nowadays. Games like Vagrus are what I need. Impactful decisions are what I crave. The game takes place over 10 years and you play every single day of it because every day matters. I know 10 years sounds like a lot but it's actually quite short since in Vagrus making a round trip of even the small playable slice of the world and visiting every settlement on the way can take an in-game YEAR.

I like it when games punish you for poor strategy and not planning and stocking up for the worst possible outcome because they make each little success feel that much more meaningful.
If you understand where I'm coming from then just buy the game and play it, try to push through the prologue/tutorial and not get bogged down in it or consider refunding yet because it doesn't represent the open ended nature of the actual game, but it does still teach you some basics you'll need for a real campaign and gives you some really nice lore.

To me this game is almost perfect but here are some disclaimers that might be turn offs for somebody else:
-Actually playing this game to the end and seeing it all through will take quite a bit of time, atleast it did for me which you could say makes it great value but consider that probably half my playtime was scrolling through the price history chart with a blank stare and doing the math for the profit margin of each settlement and trade good in my head.
-The world building is magnificent, but the fact that it's all in text almost made be pass over this game and miss one of the greatest indie experiences of all time. Don't be intimidated by reading, you're stronger than that.
-You gotta use your brain quite a few times and bust out the grade school math solving skills if you want to make the biggest bucks.
-There is probably a few things you might think is unfinished when you first start playing, but if you're anything like me soon you won't even notice any of it because this game will have captured your mind in it's trading and world. Still, there is a lot more that could have been done with the trading system, such as the player being to manipulate scarcity of items like in starsector or a bank for items or currency to add even more depth.

Vagrus is very interesting and addictive game. Feels like a truly polished, hardcore and unforgiving mix of Kenshi and Mount & Blade, with dice based action and heavy lore. Another not so famous game that heavily resembles my experience of this game is Starsector[Check it out, its pretty good].

Vagrus is a hidden gem that puts you at the helm of your comitatus and allows you to explore and thrive in this hardcore, post-apocalyptic world of the Riven Realms. First and foremost this is a sandbox game where you are the head of a travelling company or a comitatus, that can engage in trading, mercenary work and exploration. Depending on what your choice may be you can decide to do as you please. But keep in mind that the setting is a post-apocalypse and you’re not special, if you get in over your head, you will simply starve and die in the wastes to be reclaimed by the Acolytes of Ahskul as undead workers. Enjoy this ride, as its a long one.






So far I’ve managed to squeeze in roughly 2 runs of about 1000 days each in the main campaign and let me tell you, I am no where near finishing the game. I’d say I’ve just entered the middle-game. I haven’t completed the tutorial, as I wanted to experience the game without the training wheels and see for myself how truly challenging it is. After watching a couple of videos explaining the main mechanics and the game loop I started exploring on my own and trying to figure out what to do and how to make this game fun.
 It was a bit challenging at first, as if you’re not a fan of reading like I initially was, the game has no other way to communicate the world that you were dropped in and how to progress in this world. However, after about 10 hrs of gameplay and heavy reading the game’s atmosphere has captivated me and made me want to explore everything I could. So, I decided to focus my first run which was relatively advanced 1300 days, let’s say towards the middle-game on experimentation with the game mechanics. First I tried to explore the web and the game wiki, and to my surprise there is almost nothing on the game. Nobody has bothered to write up a guide or give this game a proper let’s play/tutorial where it delves in-depth on the game mechanics and lore. No all locations tab, nothing, just simply nothing. Some scraps here and there, but overall the game has to be explored by you and there is no easy way to circumvent it. Honestly it annoyed me quite a bit, but it was a blessing in disguise, as it allowed me to explore this unforgivable world on my own. Well, sooner than later my exploration lead me into such a ruin that I just decided to scarp everything and start a new run, as I’ve realised that I made some critical mistakes while exploring. 
With the obtained experience from the first run. My second run is much more successful and I’ve managed to get to where I was in the first save in roughly 200-300 days, which surprised me. I’ve understood some key aspects of the loop that I am going to share with you here, some things to look out for. As the game is unforgiving, but fair at the same time.

Also scum-saving is literally encouraged by the devs. If you look at the achievements, the game considers “iron-man” to be without manual game saves, aka. Player save slots. But still allows you to have the last day and last settlement slot, which saves a lot of pain.




First and foremost let’s talk about character progression. There are no experience points per se, but “insight” and that is gained by either exploring new places or completing major quests and milestones. I am not sure how limited it is, I mean it is bound to run out at some point, but honestly I haven’t had problems obtaining it.


There are two types of characters. 
First is you Vagrus, who is the leader of the comitatus and is the one giving orders and having a direct influence on the outcomes of the daily logistical challenges, combat and events.

Then there are companions who are your specialists or officers that supplement your skills and enter companion combat.


The main advice here is don’t waste your insight upgrading the attributes on your Vagrus, as it takes way more insight to do it this way. A much better option is to dump the points into companions who gain more attributes, for the equivalent amount of insight 


A bigger tip

 Here is some broken knowledge at least for the middle game so far. As you cannot respec your points at all (I haven’t found a way) don’t waste them on upgrading unnecessary attributes by the logic of the more the better. I found much more success in getting only the necessary attributes and optimising the companions for companion combat to do exploration in the middle game. Also deputies, resourcefulness and abilities OP





The main problem for your Vagrus that stops him from doing what you want him to do is the setting. Which is a post-apocalyptic wasteland with little to no food and pretty much only desert with various beasts, brigands and undead roaming the wastes.
 So, your job is making sure that anything you are planning to do is either profitable and can help you cover your losses. Or if you’re wanting to take risks, you have to accrue some cash as a safety pillow, so you can recover from any unfortunate events that come your way. But be carful not to starve, as there is no recovering from death.
Keep in mind that anything you want to achieve needs a certain amount of attributes and skills and you cannot make certain things profitable or reasonable to do if your build isn’t optimised for that.

For example, in my first run I tried the self-sustaining comitatus build, where I max my hunting and foraging skills and basically live off the land. That was great for the early game, but towards the middle game where I wanted to get a fully mounted party to traverse and engage in combat that backfired as it didn’t suit my build. 




There are two main types of quests.

Major quests that are pre-written and have a story-line behind them and tasks, which are short procedural tasks that net you some cash


 Early game the best way to net some easy sustenance is grabbing as many hauling quests as possible to a single location and essentially hauling goods back and forth. There is a skill for your Vagrus that can help with that tremendously use it to stack 6-7 tasks into a single location.





Trading is the primary way in which you will be starting your adventure, as it is safe and an easy way to acquire some early game cash. 
Nothing too crazy here, just look at the prices, figure out where to sell what and transport goods along.


 Always first load up on tasks to a location and then finish off with trade goods, as the profits from tasks are direct, while trading has offsets. Also tasks grind reputation





Exploration is a major part of the game, but it depends on what kind. You can explore settled lands, or explore unknown abandoned temples. The settled lands are a good way of making some trading and questing money while temples are high risk high reward depending on if you can manage to get out alive.

 You can get rid of the curse of the undead by visiting a temple of Ahskul in Deven 



Combat can be high risk high reward, depending once again on your preparation and if you’re the one attacking. If you’re getting attacked it is usually not great, but if you’re the one raiding it can net you quite a bit of profit. 

Avoid at all costs in the early game without any gear and weapons.

 You have to stack a lot of defence to avoid unnecessary losses to your crew if fighting the living.
