Secret of Salum (spoilers)

I'm currently trying to investigate what's happening in the town of Salum, and struggling to work out what I'm meant to do. I've met with Xeshara, the imperial agent in the inn, and with the dragon and mage in the Covenant sanctum.

I've spent weeks wandering around the salt basin - am I missing something, or is this content that isn't yet finished?

You need to salt mine a couple of times in one of the larger nodes.

I advanced the plot while salt mining, and encountered an injured group of salt miners, whom I helped, and they returned to Salum. I could then talk to the miners in the tavern about the miners I helped. They directed me to the eastern salt flats. After much pointless searching in the eastern, empty, desolate basin, I decided to check the western flat, protected by the Sycthcians, and got an event to fire. I'm filing a bug report that the quest clue goes to the wrong basin.

it says Eastern Plateau, not eastern Basin. When you find the thing, you will notice that it is indeed on the eastern side of the plateau.

That said, the writing could indeed be clearer.
