Nah...i have too many horses. I would need 20 more workers, and then not fully mounted, so i would be trudging with 6 movement points through the deep desert, under constant Sand Wyrm attack. It was already a well balanced comitatus with a few extra horses and fighters, and even so it had some risks going through the deep desert. I restarted already, deleted all saves. It just is not worth to waste a month or so to get enough workers, or to sell 44 horses, just to WALK through the desert. I was sadly at the worst possible village for this. And because i have had this comitatus setting for a long while...i'll just restart.
If you're not against an exploit that can save you time, be aware that the data for the crew and beasts available in a settlement seem to get saved somewhere other than your saved game file.
If you dismiss all your current workers and then reload the game, you keep your workers but will see the number you dismissed in the settlement. This allows you dismiss whatever number of workers you need, reload the game, and hire those additional workers.
It's how I saved my own comitatus when I had to revamp it, due to the calculation changes in consumption and workforce.
I know the trick already. Effs up other things too, it also saves resources like that on occasions, and also seems to do so with encounters. It seems that the trigger for dwarven compass is 300 bross. If you have that many you will have the encounter in Torag. In the deleted saves i had it once, but had to reload an earlier save and from then on it will NEVER trigger. Because it is a one time only encounter. So this save exploit can eff up such advancements too.
