Getting Tent (10% for +1 vigor), and also the Regular breaks and another such stuff as bonus from i think Loader's guild. Gives yous 10% and on second rank 20% chance for +1 vigor.
Also do not rely on the dwarven compass obtainment, because you may not get it. In my current run i have not gotten it in the first 3 years. In my previous i got it after 5 years. Random encounters just have this...stuff.
I don't have Kal-rish saddlebags. I was speaking from that perspective. I never was able to get the craftsman in Crystal to offer to make them. I've seen other posts that suggest how but haven't gotten around to this task.
Of course I do. I had left Skewers in the Defense slot but looking at it now, it really doesn't add much value since it gives only 5 flee and +5 Beast defense (which I assume refers to the Beasts of Burden I no longer have). For some reason, I thought they added to outrider defense. Point taken. I can equip protected harnesses in the defense slot and keep awnings in the Harnesses slot.
Works the best for me so far without dealing with crowded camp issues.
They're easy to get, just order something, anything from him, then when you come back to pick it up bring Good Quality Tools.
Also the new(?) Travelling Saddles are amazing.
For marching, so far it seems like 0-25% march points is -1 Vigor, 25%-50% is -1 Vigor and Morale, assuming you started out with 9 in both (morale drops faster if it's already low).
I agree!!! The new traveling saddles are great, I just have to remember to swap them for combat saddles before the fighting starts,
So I am confused, you carry 5000 food around with you constantly? and you move full everytime? you should have no vigor left. What is your $$ and food consumption daily?
You must be level 5 for all the factions?
HOw do you manage to achieve that?
I had to buy the 100 armed people license (forgot whatever it's called in game), and I still haven't breached the 1k Strength.
Steel armaments. Also faction bonuses. If i recall well Rathernak Alliance and Sergorod factions give your battle strength a bonus. So if you have say steel armements which adds about +2 to battle sterngth and defense to your outriders ( i think 14 battle strength? or 16?). With 40 you will have around 40*14?. Add to this your 9 companions on level 5 they have an average of 12-13. Also scouts?
That is 560+108+say 10 scouts (10 scouts is like 100 battle strength with steel armaments and can be further raised via bombs).
This is already 768 battle strength. (I actually have similar usually with 32 fighters 12 scouts and 8 companions).
Add to this the bonuses from sergorod and rathernak, i think you can achieve 15% and 25% and now you have a huge bonus to your battle strength. Should you meet undead even ashkul's 25% should apply. (Allthough for some reason ghouls are here not undead:P)
Oh and i forgot the mounts/beasts bonus to defense and attack as well i think.
Once you're at the endgame with all the best consumption reducing perks and equipment, it's a tremendously effective way to play. You can fill up on enough food to have 20-30 days worth of supplies, set the food meter to 150%, and just use all your march points every day. If your morale sinks especially low for whatever reason the x2 pay option brings it back up quick.
The best way to do this is to pick up crew combat mercenary tasks. Winning them gives you a bunch of goods and supplies, to the point where you're throwing stuff away if you complete 2-3 of them in the same area.
Yep i was pleasantly surprised when i managed to get 1000+ combat str with the 40 outriders. I think there was an achievement associated with that - "The General".
Essentially just put on all the gear related to outriders. There's also two yrg items that goes in the sorcery slot.
For faction - I got the combat bonus from the church of sergorod and ratharnak's.
I have zero scouts because they count towards the crowded camp.
Crowded Camps makes it harder to maintain Morale when full marching, though it's still possible.
It's effective from day 1, as long as you know what you're doing and where you need to go. (Arguably more effective, as you get more out of it when Move and March are near-equal, which they aren't when Fully Mounted, and you're nowhere near incurring the Crowded Camps penalty.)
It can be inferred that Cisco2950 is talking about the Vagrus' Renown. It's of course not the "level" of the character but it it's a very rough approximation for how early/late in the game the character is (with the point being that he is very early into the current game). No need to take what he said so literally. But I suspect that you already knew what he was trying to say.
