How do you get a dwarven compass?

Hi, I am trying to find the compass and I can't find it anywhere. In one of the threads someone said that the compass can be purchased from a random encounter dwarven trader in Tor'Zag's Shelter. I assume the random encounter is in "Visit the Kal-rish market" but I slept and visited the market like 40 times and nothing happened. Is there some other encounter in the city?

TZS isn't the only city you can find it in; it's a random pickup you can get from walking almost any city, or checking out the Kal-rish black market, or buying from a similar curio seller in other cities.

I for one haven't found a looking glass yet. The thing to remember is for good or ill the devs made this game all about RNG for each and every thing.

I was able to find it. The event is not under the "Visit the Kal-rish market" but "Explore the city" right on the main screen but it wasn't showing me before. I think you have to enter the city while having movements points left otherwise it doesn't show. For reference, the compass costed 43 Bross and it can be equipped in a miscellaneous slot.

I'm pretty sure it occasionally turns up in Khaledishar's (sp?) shop in Sun Rock. Not yet on my latest playthrough, though.
