Dread Reavers Mission Question (chapter 3)

Hey guys, I'm really enjoying Vagrus so far, but am kind of stuck with the Dread Reaver mission.

I got the Heat shielding crystal equiped in my comitatus and have Finndurath as companion. I just can not figure out, how to make her cast the heat shielding barrier now.

I didn't find any option in the dialog while camping or anywhere else. Am I missing something?

Hi, I am lazy to check right now, but she also needs to have a passive skill. Spellweaver or something. And thats it after that you can enter them places.
Also a tip for free, make SURE to save before you proceed :)

Thanks for the answer mate but I already have the Spellweaver Deputy skill and have her assigned as Deputy as well. I still get the message "entering the calerus was not a wise descision ..." when trying to go onto a node in those crystal places.

I really cant figure this out.

And yes i tend to save quite a lot otherwise my run would have been over a lot of times already :D

The problem is that based on what you typed on this post, you seem to be missing the guide that you need to navigate the crystal forests. I know despite all the req you have done, the progression requires the guide that your mercenary captain mentioned or else you cannot find the secret passage to the tomb to get the goodies. You may need to ask the mercenary captain where were you suppose to meet your guide and i got mine outside the forest near or at the gap/crack next to the forest. When you embark with your mercenary captain and his entourage, he shouldve mentioned where you would meet your crystal forest guide.

you bought and equipped calerus protection gear? also you need to equip the crystal shield on your comitatus.

you don't need a guide to enter crystal fields in general, just to progress the mission.

You are right i forgot to mention, that I was not able to start the quest at all, when talking to them.
But figured it out now thanks to darion. It was the missing gear.

Damn thanks mate, i was missing the protective gear. I thought having the shield equipped and having a spellweaver was enough.
Now i got it to work. Thanks again :)

She needs to have the CHANNELING skill to be able to use the shield.

I did go where the mercs told me to find the guide and I can't find him. Any suggestions?

She's in the middle of the Canyon between the calerus and arken.

yes.... you have to equip the calerous protection equipment you buy in lumen. the goggles under the equipment tab, in the store.
