Archtype specific cultists
Have you considered having custom cultists for specific archtypes? Or even like an upgraded cult leader? Like the lich could always make a necromancer, ravager could get roided berserkers, puppetmaster get incubus/succubus with high social stats and the ability to spread rumors.

Actually, yes! But I'm still undecided whether it should be cultists differ based on the player's archetype, or based on the actual villager that was recruited.

the only reason I thought of it was thinking it kind of sucks to play a lich and have to hope a necronomicon spawns to make a necromancer cultist. I feel like it being based on the villager would be too generic between archtypes. Maybe you could have it be based on the villager, but also be able to elect a cult leader who is archtype specific that has more powers? Maybe make it so if a cultist is captured by villagers, they might rat out the leader, and if your cult leader is found out and captured it could give a large threat penalty

Seems like cool ideas, cults are fun mechanic, and has crazy amount of potential.
Maybe ability to elect leaders should be based on cult size btw

that would make sense. Like needing 3-4 cultists in an area to make a cult leader.

Sounds awesome - giving off some real Warhammer Chaos Faction vibes. If the cultist mechanics was explored to it's fullest potential, when it comes to multiple towns and factions, you could convert what remains of a town to your worship and send them into another town as raging berserkers (using your Ravager example) or have an Undead army to protect you if you're found out. Definitely some good ideas here.

There is a suggestion: villager turning to cultis lose the "suspicious" trait (because why
wold the cultist go againts the demon she/he worhsip), and get something different out of it called careful(don't trigger traps or see farther or harder to detect by villagers/mobs...etc.)
