CPU/GPU frametimes for regular desktop games? Alternative?
I really like the frametime display in fpsVR. I'm wondering if there is a desktop games overlay that can display the same sort of separate CPU and GPU frametimes like in fpsVR. Or is this something specific to SteamVR? I tried CapFrameX and such but I can't find any way to show the separate frametimes for CPU and GPU processes.

Separate frametimes for CPU and GPU is something specific to VR.

I’m not sure understood the question, but your utility does not work for non-steam specific games. I am using MSFS 2020 VR (beta vr), is there a way to make it work? If not, can you add the feature? I am using HP reverb G1. MSFS 2020 is using OpenXR as well as the WMR portal.

Thanks

Yes, and fpsVR is designed to work with SteamVR. If the game is using OpenXR on WMR headset, by default it connects to the WMR OpenXR runtime, and not SteamVR OpenXR runtime (You can try switch OpenXR to work with SteamVR runtime, but it will not a "native" OpenXR runtime for your headset).

If the game does not connect to SteamVR, then SteamVR does not participate in the process, and fpsVR will not receive any data on this game from it.

At the moment, it is not possible rewrite fpsVR to directly work with OpenXR, because OpenXR does not have even closely similar functionality for overlays (and as in the native Microsoft API for WMR)
