Gillian's Ruby

So I got the map from Gillian (which was bugged, had to kill him since he never gave me the scroll). I think I've found the three locations and dug in each place. Found a sapphire, an invisibility potion, and a harpy root...but no ruby. Is this quest broken?

Oops. They are all dead for me haha. I thought they were just a holes to deal with since they robbed the farm from the owner
