You go to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Monomyth\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Run the game, open the Engine.ini file while it's running then add at the bottom on a new line:
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
Save, then open properties for engine.ini and set to read only and apply, the game will remove your change if you don't set it to read only.
Then just restart your game. It'll scale your fov in a different way that may give you a more workable fov like it did for me. It's not ideal but it's a hell of a lot better than what the fov was before.
We have so many options so I believe its a curated choice
I would have already added this in a hotfix during the Kickstarter, but it requires a bit more tinkering with the code. Either way, an FOV slider will be added in future versions of the game.
This workaround works great. My PC is hooked up to a 60 inch TV via HDMI and the default FOV was giving me a headache. This workaround makes it much easier to play as things are more stretched at the sides of the screen. It makes it seem like a 110 or 115 FOV.
