Back in August, we published a blog called 'DLC Carryover to 5th Edition Announcement and FAQ', where we detailed how we're going to bringing all of the expansions people have bought in Talisman: Digital Edition over to Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, and if you already own them, you'll be able to play them in 5th Edition for free.

that's weird cause I swore they said the base game was gonna be free for all talisman owners and the expansions

Maybe your memory was when they made the old base game free when this new one was announced?

No, you misread or misunderstood.
Basegame costs money (but the old basegame is now f2p)
DLCs from old game you own, when ported to new game, are free.

This was, in my humble opinion, very clearly communicated.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

This new one doesn't have any expansions in it yet,
But when they add one that was in the prior game into this one you'll have it.

The first being the Reaper expansion.

It's worth mentioning that part of the reason the 4th Edition expansions aren't in 5th Edition yet is because we're taking the time to remaster them, with all new art, updated cards and more.

Avalon Hill and Games Workshop have put a lot of effort into making 5th Edition feel distinct and 'fresh', so we're making sure that even when you're playing a 4th Edition expansion, it feels just as fresh as if you'd bought it for 5th Edition.

i second that y'all can take your time, I didn't mean to be minimizing with my post.
Hell, I'm often impressed with how dedicated y'all were with the first adaptation.

I look at other digital games like the Munchkin Digital attempt and wish it were being done with the same passion as y'all put on Talisman Digital(s), love having a rough timeline too, even if something isn't done on time its nice knowing y'all have passionate plans.
