Can't start online private games by myself

I used to play by myself in online lobbies with bots but now the button "not ready" never goes to "ready", no matter what I do.

Was this intentional? Was the option to play by yourself in online lobbies removed?

I'll check with the team on Monday, but just out of curiosity, why did you do this instead of playing offline against the AI instead?

Yes you need at least 2 humans to play online

I used to do this because games usually take a long time and I could take breaks and watch AI play while I ate or did something else, only interfering when necessary. There's no option for the AI to take over in offline play.

Yeah. The AI takes over for you if you idle for x seconds (something you can set in match options before the match, under "Online Timeout"). Since this option is not available in offline and you can't play by yourself online, like you could in 4th ed, it's impossible to do this.

I used to passively play like this all the time since I work from home. One of my monitors used to be exclusively used for talisman 4e.

The way I see it, either allow players to start online matches privately, just like 4th, where the Online Timeout option is available, or make this option available for offline play, which could save some server work since players would be hosting matches on their end.

We already allow player 1 to be an AI. We use that to run tests so it's not hard to do, we just never thought anyone would want that
