Approximate length of game
Hey guys! It's me again! Was wondering, from the current playtests of the game, do you have an estimation of the game length for a complete walkthrough? I hope the game is long! Would be great if it's as big as Legend of Grimrock 2 or even bigger.

Bonus question: Does the game have hidden rooms and switches with unique loot?

Second bonus question: Even though I will be buying the game tomorrow, do you recommend I wait before playing it because you are working on some big patches after release or do you feel the game will be ready to be played without any issues tomorrow?

1) 12 -20 (maybe more) hours depending on speed and path taken. But the game has a huge replay value...and you will discover different story path, characters and areas! So it can give you much more than 20 hours!
2) Definitely!
3) No. The game is final. When there should be an bug, we will fix it. Still, we consider to add some additional steam achievements (but most achievements are in).

Great thanks. Out of curiousity, how long overall was the game in development?

Round about 6 years.

Some time ago we gave this interview:

That's crazy! A real labor of love. Have you done any sort of analysis to determine how many copies you need to sell to be profitable? (Sorry this is probably a very personal question, feel free not to answer!)

@Claws, sorry I saw the question only now!

That's "easy": you calculate the amount of time you work on a project, you give it a cost, add expenses, factor it distribution fees, taxes and vat, find a suitable price range and go from there.

It's not an exact math, because some factors you can't know beforehand, like "is the price I set good for my audience / market?"

@vanbliepenstein Thank you a lot! :) I started playing Eye of the Beholder a couple of years after that time, 1991, or 1992... Great times!
