How to beat the 40-hit combo?
My best is 30 hits at Mecha 2. Then it breaks or flies away. With Super Beam I beat only 20.

Got it. Poor Mecha 2.

A few tips, in case others are having trouble with this:

- Performing a dodge pauses the timer on the hit counter. You can use dodges to go between groups of enemies without dropping your combo.

- Similarly, while shooting doesn't increment your hit counter it does reset the timer, which allows you to extend your combo.

Hope that helps! :)

Sorry for reviving this post, but the dev commented here so hopefully he will help me too.

I just wanted to ask about the perfect combos. I'm missing only the achievement for 15 perfect combos, and I'm trying to do them on the previous levels I've completed. However, they don't show up on level selection menu. It keeps the combos I made on my first playthrough. Any tips? Please! :erishope:

Hi Pris,

The Perfect Combo status is only saved/updated when you get a new high scores. So what you need to do is play the level, get Perfect Combos, and finish the level with a higher score than you had previously. In that way the Perfect Combos on the level select screen will be updated.

Sorry about the confusion on this!

I got to 40 hits by fighting Mecha 2, using mid-air special a few times with punches in between to get to around 15 hits, then launching Super Beam K.O. on him along with a few minions. Got the achievement this way on the second attempt.

Sorry to necro, just finished the game and I think getting it on Mecha Three is easier. Same method (Super Beam KO + Air Pops/Twister Drills) but its attacks are more predictable and the stage is flat.
I got it while fighting the Mecha Four somehow. lol
