Congratulations dear developers.

I have been playing your games since Stronghold 1's release and almost all other versions that followed, including my beloved Stronghold Crusader.

I always supported your games and refused to refund all of them even though some were a bit of a mess up.

But now you have hit the jackpot at messing up. You released a Stronghold game that was not remotely requested by your faithful community, a Stronghold that has completely derailed what the series always was about, a Stronghold that allowed the core characters to die and that on top looks graphically like a massive downgrade.

Not sure what you thought, probably that going for an Asian theatre will get you a larger audience due all the obsession with Asia going on, but this is a big fat fail.

My advice. Abandon this game and work on a game called " Stronghold Remake " or " Stronghold Europe " which takes content from Stronghold 1, with new graphics as well as a lot more new content, somewhat of new features, maybe a political system and such.

But for fu.... sake, please start polls and ask people who play your games since decades once in a while what they would acutally be rooting for.

Thank you! I will not buy this game. I played it on my friends PC for around 5 hours and I will not support this but as nice as I always was, told him to not share a negative review either.

There is actually a fan made mod called Stronghold Europe, which is one of the best Stronghold mods ever made. You should check this out.

I talk about this game being not what the community wanted and being a mess up, you talk about using a mod that turns this game in to a Stronghold Europe.

This is a feedback and one should not buy a game just so he can completely alter it to his liking, this would be considered money not well spent.

I get that you are some kind of fanboy who has never learnt to handle criticism and feels personally attacked when someone criticises his favourite game (as so many millenials nowadays) but you don't remotely understand how business works and what it means for one to spend money on a product but receiving garbage.

It is like you buy yourself a broken and cheap small car just to turn it in to a modern SUV. No poin really.

I play the SH series long enough to know what people want, this isn't it.

Go and check out the reviews if you can't digest what I have said.

True, but those games need to be modded to have fun honestly as well which was my point. Really it's just a matter of opinion though, as I find Warlords fine without mods. Same with X4 I find it fun vanilla, but other people swear it has to be modded to be fun. To each his own.

Have you played the previous titles?
Because if, I am quite surprised that you really like this game. Feels like a downgrade and I as a customer should not be required to install mods in order to make a fun experience as I have paid money for a full and finished product. It's not so much a matter of opinion I think, reviews are always based on the product without mods for a reason.
