The last Stronghold game by firefly was Stronghold Kingdoms which was a P2W game. I am unfamiliar with the new game and was asking if this was also a P2W game. Please answer the question or move on. In my opinion firefly has lost a lot of credibility with their approach to Stronghold Kingdoms, go to the Steam Stronghold Kingdoms forum. I need more information on their intent with this game before I would consider buying it.
the "last" game was crusaders 2 (2014) and Kingdoms was two years earlier.
I did answer your question and you quoted it lmao. "It's buy once and play forever."
Firefly is known for their older games like Stronghold 1, and Crusader, etc. Those came WAY before kingdoms which was more of a spin off browser/mobile game and not the norm.
Thanks. Do you like the game? I've been a big fan of Stronghold since the original. Not getting very good reviews.
Should you buy it? I guess it depends on what you want from the game.
If you want a well polished and bug free game, wait until a few more patches are out.
If you can live with a few bugs (none are game breaking) and enjoyed Crusader 2, there is a good chance you will like this one, too. Although, if you are a hardcore pro, you may find the AI too easy to give you a tough challange.
If you are mainly interested in multiplayer, it could be a bit of a gamble. Some players report frequent crashes, for others it is ok (I have not done much MP myself yet). But if MP is only one of many game features for you, you could give it a try. You can always get a refund if you find that it does not work for you.
