Price Tag on the Welding
First off I want to say this is a wonderful idea and love the fact that you can get some baseline knowledge right from your home. That being said the price for the welding DLC is very high just for some core training content. If I'm going to spend that much money on training material I want to see some accreditation behind it to know what I'm spending my money on. Maybe look for a nod from an organization like the American Welding Society (AWS) to provide some backing to the content.

Yes, I agree with you entirely. I am a professionally trained welder who graduated form trade school with a degree in welding technologies just last year. This game is an amazing idea and its awesome to see this type of stuff here on Steam. I was hoping that I would be able to, at the very least, use the welding tools in-game, but I have yet to find out how to do that without purchasing the DLC. $99.99 is quite steep for something of this nature.

yea, at the end of the day its just a game. its no real substitute. you dont actually have to work through heat and burning metal dropping on your skin. that plus no credintials makes it only a game. meaning you go by game prices or no one buys in. ive seen this with medical apps. like you have to make a damn good game for it to be 100 dollars. i mean look at wrench. thats a fully simmed vr game about mechanics field. and its SPOT ON. i mean every nut and bolt.

I'm a professional HVAC Tech and Engineer and would love to see trade training on this level that melds the theory with the practical. I agree it's no substitute for actual work but it does provide a wonderful platform to explain why things are done a certain way in a safe environment. For me I know the importance of proper brazing technique when it comes to connecting copper lines for refrigeration equipment. A full blown lab would include teaching the proper technique and showing the results of a good job verses a bad job.

I agree about the high price. Make it more reasonable like $10.00.

Agree with the other comments, this platform has massive training potential and especially for something like welding. But yeah needs a lot of work to make it viable as a real training tool, I think the current VR technology is a slight hurdle. When it's all been condensed down a bit in the headsets ,the hand controls more precise and the software's all running smooth at 4k in both eyes then it will be really good. It's promising def, but yeah dropping the prices a little would help.

$20 is a cheap price for this knowledge

Don't bother with it. It looks like the company folded and this is no longer in development.
