Price Tag on the Welding

First off I want to say this is a wonderful idea and love the fact that you can get some baseline knowledge right from your home. That being said the price for the welding DLC is very high just for some core training content. If I'm going to spend that much money on training material I want to see some accreditation behind it to know what I'm spending my money on. Maybe look for a nod from an organization like the American Welding Society (AWS) to provide some backing to the content....

At least they can teach you how the machinery works though. (and some of the terminology)

While this is neat and helps go over the steps, it really isn't a substitute for actual hands-on training.

In the future, Shop class is gonna be taught in VR I guess. You can learn all about woodworking with power tools without the danger of dismemberment

i have a new mig welder and would like to try this. i tend to do stuff and forget so it would be nice to be thorough and try this in vr. but it looks like the dlc is 100 dollars.... dlc.

It seems like this company is no more and this is not longer in development. It's sad because it had really good potential but here is something everyone may want to check out. Interplay Learning https://www.interplaylearning.com/ They are doing VR courses for all sorts of vocational work....
