Also, I can't change the screen resolution.
Regarding the resolution, are you in Fullscreen mode? You can only change the resolution if you are in Windowed mode.
Edit: I found another bug: I was in windowed mode (don't happens in fullscreen), and went to milestones area. Then i pressed Win+D (shortcut to go to desktop) and when I back to game, all milestones disappeared. but if I go to menu and return to milestones (or click to go to unlocks), they reapper. It's only a little little glitch, but maybe you want to fix it. (It also happen in unlocks area, but the description of unlocks remains (the pop-up thing when you pass the mouse).)

As for why it took so long to launch I'm not entirely sure. Does it still take as long on subsequent launches?
