POLYBIUS

Polybius doesn't work properly with the Index - no controllers
Just got the 1.5GB patch, and I can get the game to launch in the Index (I had to switch to desktop view first and choose the VR mode with the mouse - quite cumbersome), but Index controllers were dead! If I just try to start the game with the Index, Steam gives me an error that I've got no matching controllers available.

Now using my Rift CV1 the game works perfectly, I just start it and it works with Touch - hope you can get it fixed with Index - or do contact me, I'd be glad to help if you don't have an Index kit available. Basically you can just copy the Touch controls to Index controllers, they work similarly - this way another dev got Index controllers perfectly working in a few minutes.

Why would one need to use the knuckles -or for that matter- any VR controller?

This a pure arcade game alluding to the '80s cabs's digital controls and requires the press of a single button to auto-fire.

I'm using an arcade lever (Seimitsu LS-62) with Polybius and it feels sublime, but even a common analog gamepad thumbstick will do just as well.

The game is awesome with Touch, personally I greatly dislike not having freedom to move my hands and arms in VR. But that's beside my point - in the Steam Store it now says that Index and controllers are supported, I'm just stating the the game still does not work correctly with the Index, but it does work perfectly with the CV1.

As an Index user, I'd say the game works perfectly for what it is, and that effort spent to implement the knuckles, is an effort best spent elsewhere.

I'm grateful that Xinput arcade sticks are supported from the get-go (which is not something self-evident to have; even big fighting games struggle with this on the PC).

In general, I'm very happy with what Ivan has already achieved technically, and I certainly bow to the genius game-design mind of Jeff Minter.
