I am working in better understanding of the Alchemy mechanic hoping that will have more use in the future.
Thanks again.
Thanks!
I agree with you. During my first two plays, I used the card that comes with the default deck to fill up the alchemy meter.... then I tried to press on it as the tutorial says to see what kind of cards I could use in the alchemy. To my surprise none of the cards in deck can be used¿? why a tutorial about something that you cannot use? anyway, after my third playthrough, when I knew learnt a little bit about the game, the first thing I did was to get rid of that card XD and I beat the game.
The game needs to be balanced. Right now, with the right combination, it is too easy. You only need three different cards and you can even waste time with the monsters. In fact, I was so confident with my deck that I could even troll the monsters, to end up fully healed before ending each battle.
By the way, the smithing feature is not well explained. I realized about how it worked after halfway the game (I expected a square where to fall and forge, LOL).
Also, the game requires of some information in the cards. For example, when you beat the boss you get a card that says "puts one XXXX in your card" but you don't know what XXXX does.... Funny, I don't even know if the cards were good or not as I ENDED UP SKIPPING ALL THE REWARDS FROM BOSSES. How is that possible? they should be SuperMegaHyperGood but I avoided them :)
Anyway, I will try again just to collect different cards....
hard to read comment from dev above your post -_-
I get an alchemy card that says it opens a portal and I can combine two cards...
...but when I click on the portal, it just says I don't have enough alchemy cards...
...yet all cards have a small alchemy(?) looking symbol in their top right corner?
And if I use the same two cards one after another, I get a combo of sorts (that isn't telegraphed through the UI at all), but that's not what the first alchemy card meant?
As a new player, I'm utterly lost here.
@eobet
Alchemy works only with cards that have the alchemy symbol on the left side of the card (the purple icon like the alchemy card)
Anyway the next big update its centered in Alchemy and will be redone for a better experience with it.
remove it please or at least put the option to remove alchemy for a run (options menu or something)
i am getting new cards and trying to fuse them but i only get stones that i then have to remove them at campfires. it sucks, i want to play the game without alchemy.
Maybe for runs without alchemy add stronger cards (like a successful alchemy one) to rewards after battle or something, strong cards that (lucky)players get instead of doing the alchemy thing
