Wuwei will remain this powerful till the next superpowerful unit comes out that everyone wants
wuwei just have to front and use the skill overkilling 3/4 at least the totality of them this is completly BROKEN , same for Reapers why this unit walk this fast ??? they are sensed to b HEAVIEST infantry and my symachéan are way slower. this is stupid we need a real rework of ALL unit and balance
AND this is the same thing we say till S8 constatly adding unit or meta unit dont make the game fun, ITS a GAME pls dév make it anjoyable again and perhaps ill spend a little bit of money - exept for ptw cuz Mygame always miss theyr games like this. DONT BE EA
While Rattans die en masse to the smallest fire, get oneshot by basically any attack and need mastery and all the good doctrines to do something.
Okay bud
The unit it's strong because you can't get close to it with the hero. More then that the dmg it's fine but they shouldn't be so fast.
Easy to use great power. That's why people cry about it. I mean most people cry on anything anyway and can't learn how to counter them. I do agree though that they could definetly get a small nerf at least on speed or CC vs heroes.
It's people like you who really make the game go down the drain by trying to deny the obvious and making devs hesitant on vital nerfs for clearly overpowered units.
Wuwei are broken. It's an objective fact. The fact is proven by numbers.
They have the highest blockbreak in the game, are the only melee unit in the game that applies CC on hero and units with EVERY attack from a very low CD ability, do a very high amount of instant DMG in an AoE, are very fast and resilient for how devastatingly deadly they are and to top it off, they even have built in CC immunity and have very good formation options. They counter everything: Infantry, cav, ranged, heroes. They hardcounter most units in the game, but themselves have no hardcounters at all except the players own stupidity. Even against their soft counters, they can easily force a favourable trade due to having low ldeadership cost and how easy it is to do a huge amount of instant DMG with them.
They can be dealt with by some units with specific builds in 1v1 situations like bot line Silahdars or fully mastered imp javs, but it's a team game and Wuwei are still extremely powerful in 1v1 situations and totally bonkers in small scale and huge fights, due to the factors I've already mentioned. Way too powerful. They could be easily upgraded to a T5 unit with corresponding leadership and kit cost increase and would still be easy, foolproof 1st meta pick, for every map and every battle type.
Ironically it's people like you that destroy the game, the game is designed like pokemon, you're saying charmandar is broken regardless of the fact you're aware of some water pokemon, they win vs grass pokemon so hard that they need a nerf, this is why the devs are so hesitant to make changes, because they spend months designing and developing new units with thought out intentions as to how they fit into their game and people like you can't work out what the devs intentions are and then they get feedback like "this unit is too powerful" and they have to address the situation knowing particular units have matchups and making units weaker when they have direct counter play units leaves the game in an actually unbalanced state
I am not supposed to figure out their intention. All I need to figure out is the current state of the game. It's also not my job to figure out how to solve their balance hiccups. That's what they hire testers for.
Are you seriously trying to portray the devs as the victims here? Sorry, but it simply won't work. There are tons of games on the market with way more complexity and interweaving mechanics and the devs of those games still manage to have a semblance of balance there. The issue with CB devs is, that they are too eager to farm wales and wales are too eager to justify their money-bought superiority with shallow logic and sometimes even downright lies.
You are seriously dying on the wrong hill here, buddy. You are literally defending devs here, that "fix" an underpowered seasonal in less than a week after release and fail to adjust a clearly overpowered unit for months.
But Wuwei beat EVERYTHING if the player is capable of pressing 2 buttons every 7 seconds. Charging infantry? Gets knocked on their asses. Heroes? Get thrown around like pingpong balls. Cavalry? It's a polearm unit, so eff that.
They can heal themselves, they deal AOE damage, have the hardest CC in the game and make enemies bleed. There is nothing they cannot do, so the intention of the devs seems pretty clear here: Milk them till everyone bought into them, and then drop them once the next hot thing comes around.
Just like they did with Berserkers, Axe Raiders, Crescent Monks and Onna Musha
Nope, it's completely their own fault that this is the player experience, as you have stated above and I have agreed with, it's not your job to figure this stuff out without and sense of direction, it's a complete lack of communication to the player
You see, that's what holds me back from playing and enjoying CB more, even tho I have over 1500 hours and several years experience, players can be good but if they don't have such meta units, either coz few free time to grind them or simply because they wanna unlock others first, they usually get owned very quick, since this type of unit have really few others who can counter them. The game doesn't reward the best player, it reward those who shop, grind and spam these units more.
Also, going off-topic here, but in this game teamwork is not necessary, it's mandatory. It's kinda hard to explain this but bear with me.
There are matches where A, B, C objectives, get taken very quickly, almost without a fight, and you're like: "Where's everyone?" The match seems lost already when at the last point, everyone fight and stand their ground and the defenders actually manage to win, rather easily (if they're a good, coordinated team, that is) Still, you can have the best units, the most meta ones, you'll probably get a good score at the end of the match, but if the team sleeps for the whole time, doesn't assist you, is all ranged and doesnt even defend points nor supplies, OP units are useless alone against whole enemy team. Get my point?
This game can seem unfair, too easy, be very satisfying and frustrating altogether and you almost have no control over it. If you happen to find a good team, you do your duty well and win, if the team is made up by sleepers, you'll lose, you can carry all you want but if your best units get wiped out coz friendlies don't even help you, it's over.
I think that the issues of CB are more complex than just one unit being OP.
Also, ironically enough, some units like Kheshigs, Stalwarts, used to be OP, then they nerfed them and they became dog-s h i t and no-one use them anymore, looks like they cant do proper nerfs or buffs, either the unit is insanely overpowered or it becomes useless lol, no common ground
Then, when you finally get to unlock them and upgrade them properly, season ends, they nerf the unit and all your grind was useless
