Basically, the only thing that can break your brace are things taht putting points into it won't help you.
Nah brace is so good for defending, you can upgrade it to stunt units etc...
But on the other hand bracing on reaction stops cavalry (not every, because some cannot be stopped by default) and infantry if you brace in the middle of the fight.
But brace is already good at defending, charge is kinda meh on the base line, but upgraded it literally obliterates anything in its path.
Plus how you generally use a halberd line is behind a shield wall, so much of the bonuses are useless. At higher tiers and in TW, most of the brace bonus are wrecked by hussars
Get normal Halberdiers and go to into charging tree.
Cheaper kits, less leadership, less durable but good damage output.
It feels that they do more charge damage than sergeants, who are made for bracing.
Yeah that's what I did I'm leveling them up in Charge tree, sergeants too will see how they perform.
