Any general tips for starting out when assigning attributes?
Just got to the Attributes Quest where the game explains attributes.

Have 31 attributes as a new player right now, should I just go with what auto assign suggests or?

For pole axe you typically go all toughness or armor you need to be tanky in order to survive long enough to use your cc moves since that class has no escapes and meh damage. What do you mean by cavalry fighting exactly?

I would also go for a lot of armor. You can reset this every week for free, so do feel free to experiment a bit, but if you just go poleaxe? Yeah, armor. You have no fancy dodges or dashes, so you will take a lot of hits right to the face.

Both ultimate skills also lock you in place for a few seconds, so better be prepared to be the target of every hero in a 10 mile radius

I recommend toughness personally. Everything has so much armor pen nowadays that armor just kinda gets ignored anyway, atleast in my experience. For example, Nodachi can get like 1700-1800 armor pen with a decent roll weapon and still have a bunch of points left over for toughness or strength, maul can do that too, i think chaindart can too, DB DEFINITELY can. With 1800+ armor pen, armor really isn't doing much, you'll still get melted anyway. I've seen and used a nodachi build with like 2000 armor pen (way overkill, but plausible to make with a really good roll weapon, or a purple schematic), it's like heavy armors aren't wearing anything XD.

Well, it doesn't hurt to put points in both armor and toughness~ Important is that one is tanky enough to at least survive the duration of his ultimate skill. Rough Justice is such a great skill to stop diving heros
