Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error

I am using an Alienware laptop with an external desktop gpu. Today unfortunately the desktop gpu GTX Titan X is dead and I decided to use it's normal laptop gpu (GTX 980M) until I can get a new desktop gpu (not sure when can I afford though so it might take long)..

However now when I launch the game, I am getting error with this title and saying "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.".

What I tried so far repairing the game,
Deleting the settings file in Documents,
Installing some Visual C++ ( There are already a lot of them installed :P )
However nothing works and I can't launch the game :/

Any advice would be very much appreciated :((

Try running steam and the my.games launcher as administrator and let me know if that works.

Try changing the compatibility mode for steam:

I checked but it's not in the compatibility mod. There isn't any entry regarding Steam or the game.

It's so weird that I can play with built in Intel GPU (when I disable the NVidia 980m from Device Manager) but it's crashing when I use NVidia..

i have the same problem, i have updatet the game yesturday and my game crashes in the first minutes of an battle an tells me that there is an runtime error... all so he have some problems by starting the game because he cant connect with steam...

I cant find the problem but i think it is an connection error between steam and mygames launcher.

Not really, i was waiting for the update and after that it works again. Maybe a reinstall could help.

Download the redistributable packages from microsoft. (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads)
vc_redist.86.exe and vc_redist.64.exe.

Download and install them both.

same issue, i had a professional IT guy try some things to fix it, the game worked for about 5 -10 battles but now I'm getting the error message

A Teammate have the same problem. I tried sofar to reinstall Patch,Game,Windows Repair, vredist uninstall/install.(Problems remained)
Last time i tried to uninstall all the Graphic Drivers AMD/Intel/NVIDIA with DDU(u can google it) and then reinstalling the CPU Chipsetdriver + direct X and activated Legacy Components for Direct Play.
I still wait for his reply if something maybe solved it. If not we probably have to wait till Mygames bring out a FixPatch.

when i open conqueror's blade i get the error message before i get to the city, during the loading screen. please help someone. i tried messing with the C++ stuff but i crashed my entire computer so not doing that again. anyway when the error comes it just crashes the game. help

As i wrote before u can try deleting all drivers with DDU and reinstall them. This might help
