Getting pursued
So, after spending thousands of bronze on a purple horse node, I get pursued and only have serfs for a defense. There needs to be some time to allow someone to at least try to get away. Especially when they're just waiting for you to finish so they can take half of your wagon. Not just one player waiting, literally anyone that just received the horses were pursued if you weren't in their alliance. I don't really like that someone can pursue you and take half of your wagon anyways, but that's a lot of bronze to lose and you're at the mercy of bullies imo.

dont take 5 serfs to gather, take 4 serfs and monastic knights so at least you can 1v1 rattan rangers

Yeah, I guess I'll start doing that. You just don't gather as much with only 4 serfs. But, at least you have some defense.

Use a different line when you gather resources. So your probabilities to be attacked are much less.
I learned that when I got ganked enought times by 3-4 players from same house waiting me at the border.
Like, hey we are just here doing nothing, perphaps waiting 4vs1 to secure the battle.

I agree that 50% is a bit much. Should be more towards 30% imo.

But that's the disadvantage of not being in a house. If you were in a house you'd have people to aid you. If there are purple horses then many houses even send out patrolles to defend the players that are collecting.
Some houses might attack collectors that are not in their house. Imo attacking neutrals like that is unethical. In my house you're not even allowed to do that without a command.
Attacking a person without a house like that is just a d*ck move.

Im not in a house and I have more chances to be attacked than a player that is in a house and hostile with his neighbour.

if you are in a house you have diplomacy protecting you if you are not in a house who is going to help you ? noone. so most houses, even if "officially" they are very honorable, if you are not blue you are going to get zerged as soon as you step out of dai cheng

You gotta take units with you if it's high pop hours, or at least pay attention to who is around you and switch lines if things are contested. Purple horses will always be a point of interest for any house to contest, especially if they own it.

There’s only two lines in the borderlands and I was on the second line. The horse farm didn’t belong to their alliance and it was in the middle of the night for me. I’ll just start bringing monastics. I’ve seen it happen too many times to players. I just think they need to change when you can get pursued. Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

Then that's mighty unfortunate, even line 1 is typically totally empty for me in the later hours. Hope the cav helps!

it s just fail economy, never worked....and in case it should work you would have clans camping their own 500% taxed ressource points...non sense.

i am glad it doesn't work, because when it works, that does impact battles, only rich people are able to go out with gold/purple units, making things even worse.

I quit resource collecting LONG ago. In terms of time vs reward its easier to just buy rebel kits and do all those quests instead. They're fairly cheap and are light enough that you can go do most quests without a cart, just your horse :P

And unit kits are sustainable with bronze easily, so little need to build them (unless you want to run reapers EVERY game, lol)

Look in the top right of your screen, you'll see the word LINE xx. This is the instance of the overland map you are currently live on.

There is usually at least 2 lines live, so if xx = 01 for you click the thing the second you get the pursuit notice, and swop to 02.

Alternatively if you are quick enough on the mouse and keyboard commands you might be able to get to Menu > Change Character option.

Do not hard reset (Alt+F4) as the game will presume you have lost comms and wait around for you to reconnect, meanwhile your toon is still live and getting stomped on.

Finally, maybe do what our House Master does and just shout at members until enough follow him around while he gathers in the middle of a travelling murderball....hehehehe
