If you had to choose? Men-At-Arms, Palace Guards or Prefecture Guards?

With 700 leadership I only have room for one unit - which one would you choose to level up and can you please share why? I don't care about leadership costs or kit costs - I am interested in the best unit.

Also I LOVE my Spear Sergeants - does it kind of make getting a Men-At-Arms, Palace Guards or Prefectures Guards redundant?

I have elite men at arms, but my palace guards are not yet. MaA are super tanky and their self heal is a game changer. But to be viable you must first put a point into the middle tree for maintained block while attacking, and learning to never charge unless its youre going to wipe them completely or the enemy is retreating because they do lose block with charge attack. So men at arms need to be at least level 16 before they start to shine, and when they elite at 17, it just gets better and better (esp with honor upgrades)

my palace guards are not elite, but they are on par defensively with MaA albeit slightly less with no heal and less HP and def.

where they excel over MaA is going up their top line (offensive). They get multi-strike, daze chance, and shield bash.
