Limited item lifetime is a huge turnoff
this will probably for me be the main reason im quitting this game at some point.

the reducing of max durability of your armor and weapons when you repair them means, no matter how good of an item you craft or find for your class, you will never be able to keep it permanently.

it really doesnt help, that the weapon durability degrades rather quickly and after two weeks of active playing, a weapon practically becomes unusable.

please get rid of this mechanic.

i wouldnt mind an additional resource cost to repair my items instead if you need some sort of resource sink.

right now, this just seems like a terrible mechanic thats just in place to compensate for lack of content in the area of hero equipment, making the players grind for the same gear over and over again.

for example each weapon class right now has a very linear progression where you end up with one armor set available for every weapon type.

this game could benefit a lot from having more sidegrades to the armor sets that improve different sets of skills for each weapon type and generate slightly different playstiles for each weapon class this way.

It was bad before but this really big complaint has been addressed.

Resource management is a good thing if done well and its actually one of the very strong points of CB and done very well.

This video explains reconditioning and that sounds like what the topic is asking for.

I found this on Youtube.

i dont mind resource management, but limited item lifetime has to be one of the most unrewarding mechanics you can find in a videogame.

personally, its enough to turn me away from games that use it.

I recognize that name for the Similarion. Not an easy read. :)

The resource management isnt overly complicated got to give it a chance.

Equipment is done well also and again got to give it a chance. A nice smithing animation like Skyrim would be nice though.

wait, so reconditioning sets your item back to the maximum endurance for that item type then, without rerolling the stats?

so if you had a weapon that had 200 max endurance when you crafted it, repaired it a few times and it got down there to, say 20 max endurance, reconditioning would set it back to 200 while keeping all the stats and bonuses intact?

its kindof an awkward system, but definitely would address my concern.

Yep.

I have high hopes for this game because For Honour messed up completely and this game has got alot right, the tough parts to. ESO has a large budget and may be done well but offers no great battles and really wont be able to easily if ever.

CB really could be the best MMO out there easily.

well, ok thats statisfying enough for me. managing the blueprints and crafting materials as a resource to bring a great item back to pristine condition is fine for me.

i still think however, that the hero equipment could be built upon and that the game could benefit from more sidegrades to the armor sets.

ive read through the set bonuses, and have seen that a lot of the armor sets improve specific skills of a weapon class. i could easily see a couple of armor sets for each weapon class that power up different skills, so even if youre using a specific weapon, you might want to swap out your armor sets dependent on the type of battle that youre joining.

for example arena battles where youre only fighting against enemy heroes often benefit from a different skillset than siege battles where large numbers of units are involved.

thanks for the reply.

Naming equipment would be a welcome addition to. Allowing players to slowly upgrade equipment and customize the way they look at that NPC in the cities, i forget the name, really asks for naming next. Not important but maybe an idea.

This level of customization and upgrading really isnt seen in any other games, and is another really well done part of them game.

Just as a note about reconditioning, not only does it restore your items durability but it also has a chance to proc other additional bonuses. So you have always have a chance at making your armor set even better than it was.

Yes its awsome. There is a cost but its done very well. Means eventually with enough tries a player will get a good set of equipment. Meanwhile no chance of a downgrade.

Has this changed again? I am not seeing a recondition option at my armorer.

It's the "Artificer's Forge" from the Armourer

Feel free to do that, 93% your legendary item will drop.

U can still keep the Old Version after Reconditioning.

But keep in Mind u need everytime a purple shematic if u craft with purple. They are hard to come by !!!!

And ur supply of these new Chrystals isnt Infinite.

I know this, but are you aware how much it's gonna cost with that 7% of chances?

The Chances change after every Recondition.

Legendary isnt everytime the best thing. I downgrade lots of Legendary stuff just because the Stats where way better.

A Purple or even a blue one with lets say Strenght +16 etc. will beat ur Legendary.

Legendary dosnt mean it has the highest Stats it means it CAN have more Stats. I have a Purple one with higher Stats :)
