they are supposed to crush shield wall and swordmans.
btu since they suffer vs ranged they can't do their job well. at least not the first ones
they are also good for intercepting other cavalry or fast moving units.
they are almost useless in siege battles.
very limited uses but they can do some work with practice. one of the hardest units to be effective with in my opinion.
sicn ei got quite a lot of cav kit i will build and try some out of training.
Having only 18 (by default) units means you need to be very careful with your troops. You can lose them easily to artillery, ranged units or enemy players hunting them down on horse.
srsly use your cav with brain and u will see they are worthy
