How do I whisper someone?

This sounds like a dumb question but I cant for the life of me figure it out, its /m to whisper but than I cant type someones name in. I can right click peoples messages and people to whisper but how do I whisper someone specific if I dont have a message or person to click on?

Should be right click their name and select whisper. Not sure you can do this in general chat but you can through friend and house menu

I understand that, but if all I have is a name and nothing to click on is there a way to do it?
