Steam Authentication Failed Please Try To Start Game Via Steam Error

First I'd like to say I know I didn't spell the second word correct second

I click in steam It takes me to a launcher called "gamecenter my.com" It downloads for 5 minutes or so then i get a error saying "Steam Authentication Failed try to run game via steam" But It wont let me run it through steam. I don't know how to fix this and I cant go to the website either

The game is downloading for the 5 minutes, but every time I get the error It stops and I have to restart. Sense the game will take 2-3 hours to download if I have to keep coming back and open the launcher again it will probably take 3-4 hours and even then it might not work

Try running the steam as administrator, usually that error is something on Steam's end.

for me it worked to run game center as an administrator

Confirmed... this is a network issue. ISP (most likely) or Steam at fault for blocking for failed routing, but easily worked around with a VPN. My ISP is Mediacom, fwiw.
