The javeliners have become unplayable.
The javeliners have become unplayable, you have to ask them to throw their javelins each time. I have to support almost 10 times for they exhaust all their javelins really? Why not do an on / off mode to throw javelins?
Imagine if we did the same for archers or arquebusiers having to press each time to shoot.

havent tried javelins after patch but this sounds like dream come true. no more wasted javelins.

Less javelins wasted, it's true, but fewer javelins thrown, because fighting hand-to-hand alongside his javeliners has become a nightmare, either we fight, or we give orders to throw javelins.

Yes there are better except you did use them to defend camps where they shoot at everything because they had unlimited ammo.
Now they are better they don't throw the javelins like cracy just because they sow a unit, they wait the order and because of this its great you can go close to the enemy and hit him like a truck.
The leveling of units is a joke now. Thats the reason why I will quit .. make a long brake again I have no interest to level a Unit for months.

It was already possible to do that by switching mele/ranged, they just doing that cause they was to strong for defending camp

It was already possible to do that by switching mele/ranged, they just doing that cause they was to strong for defending camp

They could be easily avoided even before the change, EASILY. This change was a mistake, they were rarely used even before this change and defending camps is rarely done anyway. Maybe they are strong in a very few situations but useless in 98%, now they are useless in 100% of situations.

This change was done to allow hackers to roll into a camp and wipe the entire place and no one can even complain they soaked 400 javelins and not go down like i did before.

The most units were only good at few situation, archers can be overrun if in the wrong position, halberdiers can be easy killed by archers swordman were some kind of jack of all trades but not really good at any if cav misses the charge then it pretty useless.... it's all about tactics or luck ;)
In my eyes the game is still beta and they have a long way to balance everything and with this new upgrade stuff it will be even more harder, I'll be back in a few month to see how the game is going.

I love javs now. I used to have to tell them not to throw - and sometimes they would switch automatically when I just wanted them to throw.

Now their ability to stand on a supply point and spam javs is weakened - but their ability to follow you around and kill heros who aren't standing in their troops have skyrocketed.

I play archer so they are perfect for this - tons of players break formation for that eazy kill and get a face full of instant death instead

I mean to strong for a solo hero, any ranged unit can easely deal with javeliner who defending a camp, but the real problem its for the people who build top vet tree, cause the javelin throw speed and javelin amount are just a placebo, at least they shoud add a faster throwing capacity reuse speed.
