Possible Early Plasma Gun?
Very early as in "beginning of the game"-early in Marine HQ. The 584 code you would use later doesn't work, so I'm under the assumption that there should be a hidden keypad code to the door.
Or is all hope lost and there is no working code?

It's not in the direct beginning. It's in one of the contest winning lockers. You have to actually look online on their website to find it. Or doom.wikia.com

No, I'm talking about the one you can see at Marine HQ before you're sent to find the scientist. You go in there after Hell breaks loose (literally) and there is no plasma gun anymore, but before that - it is in there. The door code 584 doesn't work [before the takeover], so I'm convinced it's secretly some other code (if its not codeless).

The only way you can access that plasma rifle is using the noclip cheat. Even if you get it, the only thing that you will get is ammo and not the weapon.

This door is a red herring on that level. It's made for player to return to the weapon room 2 levels later (after demons attack the base).
