For perfomance reasons it's better to not add more of these. I added those as sample to show what the engine could handle only on maps I had to fix for corrupted textures and curved patches.
You can see those on:
Mars City 1, Mars City 2, Alpha Labs 2, Alpha Labs 4, Delta Labs 2 Sector B and CPU maps.
On Roe these are visible only in Phobos 2 Labs map. In "The Lost Mission" mod I don't added anything because the mod is still WIP and the maps require few fixes by the dev, before I could add new effects to improve the visual experience.
Is the helmet visor mod also a part of this ? The original is for Doom 3, would be nice if it could be used for ROE using ROE's unique visor.
Is also nice this uses the Phrozo mod for all missions, since the original is simply for Doom 3 and most mods don't include surface damage as far as I know.
No visor mod on D3HDP. Impact for surfaces are revisited by default for D3HDP, but to play full Phrozo effects you need to extract included addon and put together with the others pk4 files.. and yes, it's fully tested for all campaigns.
Thank you.
I manually increased and fixed most of details of the textures (around 14000 counting all masks and effects). The main pack for upscaled stuff is AI textures v1.1 from moddb, but it includes many issues, such as black textures, opaque textures that should be partially transparent, different colors or excessive clean and washed out pictures. So I had to rework the whole thing, together with monoxead/Wulfen pack and Redux 2.0, also reworked to stay close to original art direction.
I re-released it today because of a small issue. Thanks for your words. Enjoy it.
D3HDP is a texture pack. For engine improvements check the page of dhewm3 on github.
I've seen that in one video, the shotgun is different from the base modded version, is this normal?
It's an optional addon that is included in the pack. Main mod files doesn't have beta stuff, but if you want to customize your game, I included a set of different add-ons, all compatible each other and optional, included "E3 Alpha Weapons", pistol, machinegun and shotgun from leaked Tech Demo 2002, also with the addition of alpha chaingun sound.
