I just bought the game and installed this mod. The thing is my FPS stays maxed out and steady but it is still a little choppy for some reason. Can this be an old issue with the steam pc version och due to the mod you think? Feels like a mouse settings issue but I'm not sure.
Thanks beforehand for any provided info <3
UPDATE
Fixed it by turning V-sync on. And here's a little clip of the REDUX mod

Did I do something wrong?
And you're not running the BFG version?
Great update.
Using the unfinished, alpha E3 demo weapon sounds just... really hurts the atmosphere.
The sounds themselves are pretty bad.
To each his own.
But personally, I find the Trent Reznor sounds... horribly out of place, and in general just low quality.
I know that's partially because he never finished them. But... they simply don't fit the theme and atmosphere of the game.
I mean, his pistol sounds like a damn canon. It sounds more powerful then his shotgun. Making a gun load does not make it sound good.
Also, his chaingun sound does not match the actual firing speed of the gun.
In the end it's all preference, but there are a lot of people who prefer the release sounds over the early Alpha sounds.
And, the option to play this mod with just the graphical updates... would be great. The ability to remove the changed weapon sounds would make this an instant use mod for me. But, as is... I'll stick to the original 2004 release.
I tried removing the sounds from the PK4 file, but, there's most likely some scripting associated with it.
Removing the sounds works, but then you don't have any firing sounds for the weapons at all.
Did anyone had this problem? it seems a pretty good visual mod but this problems made it umplayable for me
