okay, so i downloaded a mod called CstDoom3

any idea on if i'm even doing this right? there's a manual PDF file that comes with this mod, with no mention on exactly if i'm doing this correctly. there seems to be no way to alter this and there seems to be no kind of troubleshoot for this in the PDF. any help would be appreciated.

Ok, i know this has nothing to do with the discussion but, How do you install mods on Doom 3 anyway?

Straight to the Doom 3 Directory folder for Steam.

then what? I tried just putting the folder in but it wont work. Making a 'Mods' folder also doesnt work. :/

look for some kind of txt file or pdf file in the folder of the mod you're trying to download. usually modders give step by step instructions for installation and what not to do.

Actually it is better if you take all the modfiles - make sure they are in .PK4 format - and put them in a separate folder, within the main Doom 3 directory. Then create a shortcut to tge executable file. Then rightclick the shortcut and edit the target pathway, adding at the end:

+set fs_game [foldername]

Example:

C:\Games\Doom3\Doom3.exe +set fs_game MOD

Run the game using the shortcut to play the mod.
