DOOM 3
Cursor stuck in middle of screen. HELP
Every time i load up Doom 3 there is a mouse pointer right in the middle of the screen. Googled the problem found something about deleting a divx file but none exists on my system.

Try these sourceports out.
Both fix bugs and make the game more compatible with newer systems

FHDoom is mad good. It adds shadows where I've never seen shadows cast before. Really sleek looking.

The setting in my autoexec.cfg is perfected for new computer. It is tested with Windows 10 64. Not tested with source port!

With the cfg file, I've created a Doom-3 configuration with Ultra setting and with everything turned off, which could make problems on the new PC with Windows 10 64!!

Just try out!!! I think you have a very good chance it will work!!

Awesome work, Ovd. I tried it out a few days ago and it kicks ass.

Okay, so...thanks for hijacking the thread there, guys. Let's get back on track. I have the same problem as the OP, with the mouse cursor stuck in the middle of the screen. I'm on a PC, not a Mac, so I have no DivX files on my system (I searched the system just to make sure). How do I make this annoying cursor go away? There's gotta be a way to make it go away without using mods or sourceports. I actually have Perfected Doom 3 installed, but the cursor shows up whether I'm using the mod or not.
EDIT: I have no idea why, but the stuck cursor just magically disappeared on its own now...I'm not complaining or anything, but it would be helpful if I knew what caused it so that people coming here later can find the solution. The only thing I did was to change the resolution, so if that's the solution, then yay! Try it out, maybe it will work for you.
EDIT 2: The cursor came back, but changing the resolution did indeed make it go away again. So, that seems to be the solution. Try changing the resolution, and if you need to, you can probably then change it back to what it was at first.

I was more referring to the fact that people just started throwing in sourceports and mods rather than actually addressing the problem...but whatever.

LOL Linus!!! Thanks!!!

And: THE GUIDE is not a MOD!!!!!

With the config file you eliminate all problems that could occure!!!

The autoexec.cfg is a config file!!! All ingame settings and more can be done!!!

If you do all you can read in the guide, first without mods, it must work! 99,999999%

Second, all mods i have in my Guide are 99,99999999999999% free of any problems!!

COOP Mod is only 70%, but it is the only way !!

First, going into the properties and attempting to allow the program to override my system display scaling didn't seem to work in this case. My key issue was that Doom 3 was defaulting to 640 x 480. Once I upped this to somthing more reasonable, the mouse went away.... Thank God!!!

I know this is an old thread buy I've had the same problem and thought I would share how I fixed it since ovd's config file didn't fix it for me. What I did was actually set the mouse to invisible using this guide here

http://www.jholjhaal.com/hide-mouse-cursor-on-windows-with-mouse-pointer-scheme/

so before I start the game I set my mouse to hidden and after I exit it I change it back to normal. This fixed the issue of the cursor always appearing in the middle of the screen and this change doesn't effect the in game cursor at all.

Had the same problem. White mouse cursor that stays while playing. Once I changed the graphic settings from medium to Ultra and rebooted the game the problem went away.
