No way this is 76 Euro worth. The "realistic envorment" is not there. Just a empty map with some assets thrown in. I have watched a video about it and....i'm speechless. Sorry.
You get more for your money if you install Unreal Engine, get some assets and play with that around.

EDIT: Without the ability to change the poses of the actors Cine Tracer makes no sense.

Seems like they did not set the price correctly, they probably meant 5,99 but somehow hit "7" and got this price tag

The price is probably right but just keep in mind that this is going to be several months if not a year away from full release given its current state and I wouldnt really call this a game.

It is more like a tool that can be used to create a very inexpensive mock up of movie studio shoots before they go out and build the props and scout out the locations.

once fully developed I can see a program like this easily commanding at $150+ price tag when you consider just how much money it will save in pre-production costs.

It should be noted that I am not in the movie industry but I am going to keep an eye on this as I think that it is pretty cool and could eventually have uses in other fields.

For example imagine if you could import a topographical map from google earth that only provides the elevation data thus allowing you to re-create a small section of the city, and then overlay the roads onto it and you would have a blank canvas to redesign however you want.

Something liek this could one day be used by city planners or Master plan community builders and other fields.

As a film student who could never in a million years justify spending $90 on an early release and very much unfinished product. This would have been an amazing way for me to be able to try new things and explore creatively without the limitations that come with renting out equipment from my school. Unfortunately, that will now not be possible and I couldn't be more disappointed. However, if I were a working professional I would most likely be able to justify this price tag in a heartbeat if it had what I needed. My request is to either lower the price for those of us who have waited patiently and once a finished version is out, raise the price to where it is fair. Or offer a student discount to those of us who could benefit most from this product and help us do what we love unencumbered.

I'm too poor for this, i'll just keep using Cinema 4D for my moving storyboards. 75$ may not be a lot of money for someone already working in the industry, but for students and starters this is a bit too much money. I'll wait and see how this will develop. Who know's maybe the price will drop or i'll get a 1k job offer.:steamfacepalm:

I would suggest that you both add this to your watch list as the price will most likely drop next year.

as for me I dont really have any use for it right now but I love the idea and in a few months when it gets a little closer to Christmas I will very likely pick this up if only to support the devs.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price of Cine Game will likely increase after it hits "Full Release" status. That is TBD.”
Josh Sep 29, 2018 @ 10:06am
The price will likely go up but there is also the steam summer and chrimstmas sales to consider so it might get reduced eventually.

Also one way I can see this getting reduce is if they open up a steam workshop or DLC with paid content where people can purchase additional asset packs and in that case they might drop the price to encourage more people to jump on board with the intention of making up the difference from those that have much larger pockets (aka the rich guys)

75,99€ ..... -->€<-- ?!? For a Early access game.
Are they freaking INSANE!
Not even EA do this.... Well not yet anyways.

Well technically its not a game. This is software that can actually be used to do some pretty amazing stuff and if used for business it can save you more than enough time to justify the cost.

Guys...it's using unreal engine but it's not a game...There is no story or goal it's a tool for filmmakers that's in it's early stages of development. As a tool it's worth way more than a normal game, this has the potential to help you be more efficient with PAYING gigs. Also, I believe Matt is working on this solo meaning he's spending a ton of time building this "game" for the community. He deserves to be compensated for that...this "game" wont take off like normal early access game because it's for a smaller audience meaning he can't charge less or he'll never make back the time he spent building it. If we can spend $800 on a light meter we can spend $80 on this.

I get that its a tool and not a game, but I feel like it should be priced around $20-$30 right now and slowly increase as more content is added. I was looking forward to this and supporting development of it, but no way am I paying $90 for something thats early access.
Retro Oct 8, 2018 @ 4:37pm
100 canadian no one is going to buy that especially in early access with the high potential of a developer abandoning it (this has happened a few times) to risky.

honestly I think that it is worth two or three times what they are charging espeically once all of the features have been added. That said this is a productivity tool and not a game so you have to consider its value in that regard.

I would also point out that the work people are doing with this is already pretty cool given the limited content and the devs have been very responsive and just about every week there is something new added to the program.

Clearly people don't have much experience with the pricing of other previz software on the market. FrameForge previz, which looks awful, costs $600. We use $30,000 cameras and $10,000 lights on set. Even the camera featured in this game is $55,000... The price seems perfectly reasonable.
