Tato hra se hrje celkem dobře, ale myslím si ,že by jí pár aktualizací ješte neuškodilo , loadingy jsou hrozný jako loading když chci zajít do garáže :/. myslím si že si ta hra vzala do začátku inspiraci z populárnějšího Rocket Legue ,který oproti této hře už je o dost dál .Jako na to že je ta hra zadarmo, tak je skvělá, ale nedotažená dokonce.

BUT...
I appreciate that I only gave this game 20 minutes and usually that's never enough to come to a conclusion about a game but in this instance I felt the game was simply unplayable and continuing would have been pointless.

Now, I am someone with almost 3k hours in Rocket league so giving something a chance is something that I can do.

Let me explain why I turned it off after 20 minutes:

First of all the controls, they are awful. In a game like this, that you claim to be fast paced, you need to be able to do what you want to do, in an almost instantaneous fashion. You have to press 2 buttons to do 1 action (switch gun type, and then shoot). This may not seem like much but in a split second that you may have to shoot the ball, it takes too much time.

Secondly, is this a skill based game or what ? Because its not hard to shoot the ball from half way across the field. Which, when you are 3v3 on a relatively small arena with a huge target which the ball is, is simply ridiculous.


One of the best things about Rocket league is the level of CONTROL you have on the ball, there is none of that here because every time you get near the ball some idiot, maybe even on your team, shoots the ball from the other side of the field and screws you up.

Your system of being able to manipulate the ball from almost anywhere in the field doesn't work. It screws up any idea of team play and control and becomes a random shooty mess.


I don't believe in just saying what's wrong I also believe in saying what I think would be better.

You could have a 1 button system whereby pressing 1 button performs 1 type of shot. For example

(PS4 control scheme)

Square: Shotgun
Circle: Heavy Machine gun (mid range burst fire)
Triangle: Machine gun (short range single fire)

And lets think about what each gun can do and in which scenario you would use them.

Square for Shotgun for when the ball is really close to you and you want to perform a powerful shot or a pass in any direction

Circle for when you dont have full control of the ball but want to push it a bit to the side or perhaps "tackle" a player. But the important thing is you need to greatly reduce the range in which this is effective, yeah sure you can't use it like a shotgun but you can't shoot across the field either. Maybe when the ball is within something like 1 meter range.


Triangle for when the ball is close to you like shotgun but you dont wanna hit it away from you you wanna keep it close. Like 'dribbling' in rocket league. Once again, the range should be slightly more than shotgun but not so that you can perform it half way across the map.

Lastly, the drones feel quite slow to turn around when the ball is behind you it seems to take an eternity to turn and face the other way. They should feel more lightweight somehow and thus you are gonna make the game more fast paced and fun to play.


I like the concept and this is why I'm writing this review. But right now I simply cant enjoy the game while there is no feeling of 'control' on the ball. While people are shooting with no thought process on the ball to make stupid touches, this cannot possibly be a fun game.

I hope you will make the necessary changes, there is hope yet. Good luck.

Game is definitely much more fun with kb/m

and true enough, when you play 1v1 or 2v2 its also much more fun. 3v3 is too rng right now.

Still lots to work on but I had more fun on a 2nd play

Very early, but very promising.

Current things I would recommend improving:
- The screen's maximum height is too low, sometimes the ball goes above it. Maybe increase the maximum height the screen can go
- Controls menu
- Movement feels slow, maybe add a boost feature of some sort (just personally though)
- The color menu should be a menu instead of a right-left selection (similar to how the rocket league colors work)
- Shooting is a *tad* too slow, maybe increase the bullet speed (by about 80%) as well as firing speed (by like 15%).
- unrefined graphics which are a bit too crazy (maybe less flashing lights on walls and floor, a plain arena style like rocket league is probably the best choice)

Review wise:
+ Pretty fun and interesting concept
- Shooting is a bit clunky
- Awkward screen sometimes when the ball goes too high
- Kinda flashy sometimes

tl;dr: Good game but still has a alpha/beta feel to it.

the game was pretty fun even tho it was always kind of dead, new updates kind of ruined the things that made it unique

Fun little early access title. I played through Beta and had a good time with it.

Easiest way to describe it is "3rd person shooter Rocket League", but try not to get hung up on the RL comparisons. Axiom Soccer is still and early access title - it's rough around the edges and a lot of details (some of them fairly major) are still being worked on. RL is of course far more polished/fine tuned, but bare in mind that RL's beginnings started over a decade ago - it's had the time to build a community, acknowledge feedback and grow; Something I hope Axiom will be able to achieve too!

Of course, there's still a long way to go, and a lot of changes required to win over the mass market I feel.

Couple of things I'd like to see improved in the near future -

• An option to choose between 1v1s, 2v2s or 3v3s. At present there's no way to specifically select a match type, and my preference is 1v1s as I fine any more than that can get quite messy.
  
• Generally the game feels quite sluggish, especially since you control a drone! Some form of movement increase would be nice.

All in all Axiom Soccer is a fun football/soccer style game with, of course, some room for improvement. (Plus it's free, so why not give it a shot?!)

A decent start to a unique F2P soccer game where the couple of matches I've played I have gotten matches quickly, so I'd recommend this to friends. Controls take a bit of getting used to, but work well. Here is what you need to know:
+You can hit a ball using your primary weapon, one of four secondary weapons (right click), or using your craft itself.
?Goalie is automatic for a certain number of hits, and then is controlled manually by pointing towards your goal and using middle mouse click to indicate where the goalie thing should be positioned.
+Environmental elements include auto-kickers to keep the ball out of the 4 corners, defensive posts that can be activated by hitting them with a weapon.
+Speed boost is cool and just right in terms of game pacing.
+XP and rank/division are working and seem fair so far.
+Controls can be reconfigured.
-I don't think in game or voice chat exists yet.

My grand kids love playing this game. I can't stop hearing about it!

A great game that's made even better by the devs always up to listening to constructive criticism!
While the game is still in EA and still has a way to go, it is a lot of fun!

Once you get over the learning curve and get a feel for the game it opens up!
